Good job!
What brand lift are you adding? And did that cold air intake give you much of a difference in power of fuel use?
And since there's not quite enough questions...
did you buy that front bumper, or build it from scratch? It looks good!

Thanks. The lift i chose is 4crawler bj spacers in the front and ome coils in the rear with ome shocks all around including ome steering stabilizer. The intake changed the sound quite a bit but didn’t really notice any power gains or fuel consumption changes. The bumper is a trail gear. It’s good quality and lined right up. The holes on the side frame mounts are quite large as I think they make them that way for alignment as every vehicle will be slightly different but nothing some small spacers don’t fix.

Pretty minimal thing but if anyone cares to see this is a before and after of the wheels I got off Craigslist. I degreased, then wet sanded with 2500 grit, polished the lips with mother mag polish, masked and painted the centers with self etch primer and then flat black engine enamel. Came out decent although the lips could use more polish. Was thinking of doing the lip flat black and the centers dark bronze but haven’t decided if I’m up for the change

Dude nice runner. After using the air box for some time would you recommend it or would being getting a cold air be better in the long run? Just my opinion but I think you should take off those metallic wheel arches. But all in all shes a beaut and I hope she stays on the road for many years to come.

I really like the intake setup as it fits good and functions as intended. I would recommend having a prefilter cover if you are going to run anywhere sandy or dusty but that should be had for any cone style filter. I’m sure there are cheaper setups that will function as well but I found that one on sale if I remember correctly. As for the trim I would like to remove it but it looks like I may end up with exposed holes in the body but I’m not sure. I may look into it this weekend. Thanks for the compliments

Where did you get the air box, my air intake is very noisy and was thinking of making one out of wood, but yours is what I am thinking of.

I honestly don’t recall where I got it as that was about 5 years ago but if your looking for quiet it may not be what your looking for. The cone filter echos through the box and gives it a pretty noticeable “growl I guess I would call it” if quiet is your goal perhaps a factory filter box with performance filter would be a better option

Yeah I could see how that may be a little noisy. If I were you and want a easy solution maybe rather than wood just get some thin sheet metal from Home Depot or your favorite hardware store then just bend and rivet it into shape. Would be easy, look decent and be pretty affordable. You could even make it with a removable top for easy filter maintenance

Thanks. Yeah it took me quite awhile to get around to it myself but I’m glad I did. It looks much cleaner and gives the illusion that it sits taller than it really does

I would like to remove the trim but haven’t looked to see if I’m going to have exposed holes in the body. I know there are screws inside the wheel well but is there more stuff attaching them? Maybe I’ll look when I get home if I don’t get a response by then

mine came off just fine, i don't remember there being any expose holes in the body

No holes in the body, but you may find paint starting to wear from grit, or worse rust. Better to have it off and see then it spreading unknown.
Unless you have a small screw driver you might have to get your wheel off to get access to the Phillips screws.
