WhiteKnight Build - (Smallfry's rebuild)

I think that they look good and will keep a lot of crud off the sides of your 4Runner. Those might be a good option for us 4th Gen guys who have either had to trim a lot of the front flaps off or remove them all together. Is there's specific part number for those?
 
Anyone know what would cause a popping noise when I come to a stop then accelerate again. Feels like it's coming from the drivers side.

Could be a bushing. Can you reproduce the sound whenever you want? Does turning one way or the other change anything?
 
Nope, it only does it when I brake or when I accelerate after stopping.

Bushings all look to be fine and the cv's look to be ok.
 
The 4Runner I bought from you did this from some time after I got it, and it took me forever to figure it out.

Turned out it was the driver side lower link mount on the frame side. The bolt was tight, but loose enough to let the link slide around when under load. So...I could never duplicate it when it was on the lift....only when I was driving. Cranked the bolt tighter and it went away.
 
Having owned this 4runner for almost two years now I keep finding dog hair and mysterious holes and items left over by the previous owners.


Decided to man up and replace the climate control unit with a brand new one. I've had it in a couple of times to those repair services with the unit coming back still not working right and I was leery of buying one from a salvage yard or ebay just to have it work for a short time or have the same problems mine did.

Its nice to be able to adjust the controls and have them work properly and to actually to be able to hear the motors open and close in the ductwork.

I'm going to climb back under there this week and recheck the bushings.

Not at the moment I don't have enough lights to justify it and won't for along while. Maybe, someone does.
 
Question about your tires.. What is the load rating? I've been looking for that style and can only find E-rated General Grabber AT/2's.

Light Racing UCA have been put on order - Happy Birthday to me (well a few days early).:happy:

Ordered them though Sierra Expeditions which was slightly cheaper than going though FatBob's.
