Who Knows the Inside of an Aisin Manual Hub?

OK, so I bought the manual hubs online the other day, planned on doing the rebuild and installing when I did brakes and bearings. However, when I took them apart, a bunch of aluminum nipples fell out of one hub. Looks like they are
sheared off of the backside of the front piece which has the bolt holes and the lock and free settings. Have attached a picture for reference. It looks like the hubs would be fine w/o the nipples, possibly there as a guide/support for the dial spring? What da think? send'em back or slap'em on?

They're there for added strength, to reduce stress on the bolts.

Too bad, not sure how much stress they can carry if they break that easy. Nice clean hubs - were they brand new?

Nay, they are used, guess they were cleaned and painted sometime in the not too distant past. Have no idea about the stress, that's why I'm here.

This. Or pack a spare hub everywhere you go. Those are there because the engineers that designed it didn't trust the bolts not to shear off.
