Yup, I purchased a 4 port USB cig charger, one of the ports has a higher amp to keep up with the draw

I have run that road many, many times. It used to be that the county maintained it and you could do it in a 2wd truck. About 2006 or so there were some very heavy rains and washed portions of it out, which made it fun for built rigs. I haven't been on it since about 2012, but I think there have been bypasses made for the hardest sections.
I'd do it in a heartbeat in my Runner.

I'm planning on doing the Montana mountain loop within the next couple of weeks. Finally going to be back having a weekend day off. Will probably be a Sunday or Monday mid November.
Montana Mountain is just west of Superior. Stock vehicles can do it. There are some offshoots to explore, camping on top in the pines etc..

Should be fine, but last time I made the loop we hit a solid 100 feet of solid sloped ice on the shaded side. We were on bikes, and after two of them skidded out from under themselves we walked the rest with 2 men on each. Then watched quads, razors and trucks slide down it at all orientations (and helped push them away from the edge). All made it through, but a 350# bike handlebar couldn't crack the ice went it went down hard. Just a word to the wise about northern exposure shaded high altitude ice - even in the desert!
