Who's ready for President Trump!

Curious what's really going on at these Trump rallies. His message is somewhat alarming and having people raise their right arms to pledge allegiance is either some sort of egomaniacal joke, or this guy is really out to lunch.

One thing that is disgraceful is the amount of pride the Bernie supporters have in showing up in Chicago and creating absolute chaos... Enough that Trump shuts it down (I'm sure this was a strategic decision to fire up his base though). It's ironic the "tolerant" left are willing to muzzle a politician they disagree with it. Can't help but hope Trump supporters descend on the next Bernie rally.

You think it was Bernie supporters protesting the Trump rally? I imagine it's just folks not having it with his bigoted hate speech, whether or not they're Bernie supporters is an afterthought.

I suppose that's funny to think though, the guy that's going to exterminate ISIS can't even speak in front of an upset crowd of Bernie supporters. He muzzled himself.

It appears to be widely known most of these people identified as supporters of Bernie Sanders. And, sure maybe he muzzled himself but chaotic behaviour is unacceptable. It was probably more dangerous for the attendees. Lots of video showing fists flying in bother directions. So if people got hurt then the reaction would have been negative for Trump not shutting it down. I wonder what the reaction would be if Trump supporters shut down a Bernie rally due to safety concerns? The left would lose it's mind.

You're right, Trump incites violence in both his supporters and his opposition. No argument there.
That's no excuse. Everyone is accountable for their own actions. Those people who showed up to the rally brought it upon themselves. They should have stayed outside. Every candidate deserves to speaks to their voting base whether you agree with them or not... well, that's how it works in Canada anyway.

Probably the chapter where he tries to kill all the liberals in a republican themed "jihad".

Is this the dude that wished death to all liberals in another thread that got shut down? I almost forgot about that. Sad little thing.

Wait til this gets to the next level. The happenings over the next 7 months will have a major impact on this country's future....for good or more likely, for bad.

Think we're divided now??......wait.

That is what frightens me the most about him as a candidate. He seems to bring out the worst in people whether for or against him. Is that what we really want?

Sorry, I don't watch any of those but go ahead and make assumptions about "us Dems."

Why would you even assume I'm a Democrat?

This is what I fail to understand. There are far too many people in this country who think that if you don't agree with them and their way of thinking, you must be a "dem," a "libtard," or a "jack-booted right-winger."

Because God forbid anyone opens their mind and tries to learn something new or embrace a different concept... We like to get our news from the sources which spout the ideas we already agree with, because it's easier than trying to wrestle with a "new" idea.

Trump's appeal with the angry and frustrated and the "make America great again" talk is eerily similar to another charismatic up-and-comer who played to similar frustrations in 1933 Germany. Doesn't mean he'll turn out that way, but I think his chances of doing so are still greater than those of any President I can remember.

"Saying what you think" is cool in our society and admired in pop culture and social circles alike. But it's NOT the best way to play well with everyone else in the sandbox. And when the denizens of said sandbox include unbalanced nuclear-capable nations like North Korea, can the bluster and grow up. Sometimes diplomacy is necessary - actually, maybe most times. If Trump has that character trait, I'm not seeing it. He may have been that way once, long ago, but I think - as he's become more wealthy and less accountable for his actions - his ego has inflated to a degree where he 1) has seen his current tactics work too often, so that's what he goes to time and again, and 2) has enough money that he doesn't care, anyway...

I don't trust Cruz as far as I can throw him. He's made a name for himself by taking a page from the Rand Paul playbook: blame the government, public employees, and any other entity/concept that MOST Americans don't understand all that well and garner support that way. Who cares if it's true or not.

I think Rubio is a non-factor, anyway, but I also think a President should a bit more life experience. Yes, I thought that of Obama, as well. Also of Bill Clinton.

Of course, all of these guys want to eviscerate the environment and its protections in favor of big business and industry. That never worked out well in the past and is partly why we had to CREATE the EPA in the first place. To me, that's either a horrid decision-making path or simply a pandering tactic, so it's either "bad" or "dishonest."

And with all of that said, the religious pandering also sickens me. It's on he Democratic side, too, but not nearly as much. These guys are just as money/power/influence-hungry as any politician before them, of any party, but by throwing in plenty of "God Bless Americas," they're playing to a certain level of ignorance that I find disturbing. If I wanted religion to play this much of a role in my nation's leadership, I'd move to the Middle East.

I will say that John Kasich seems far more optimistic and willing to cooperate with all comers to get things done. I like his positive attitude. He also seems to have a lot more experience. I don't think his plans or policies will be better or worse, but he seems a bit more honorable to me. But perhaps someone from Ohio knows better. That's just from my limited exposure.

Sanders is what he is. I was born and raised in Vermont and remember all the goofy Bernie Sanders stories while growing up. At one time, he didn't live very far from me. Say what you want about him being a communist (he isn't), but he does seem to genuinely care about people. And that's not just an act that he's using right now; he's always been that way. Shouldn't that be an overriding characteristic for someone who wants aspires to the highest public service job in the land? But with that said, I don't think he has the international/foreign-relations experience to be President. I also think his views on how to "reform" law enforcement seem as though they were taken from an anti-cop website and demonstrate a clear lack of understanding of the job, which is scary considering he was actually a mayor of a city and should know better.

I have never liked Hillary and hated her husband. Most of the people on this forum probably don't even remember Bill's election, the scandals, Paula Jones, Whitewater, Vince Foster, Lewinsky, Bill putting his wife in charge of reforming health care (which she wasn't qualified to do, anyway), etc. It was never-ending with the Clintons.

I never liked her then and thought she was fake. I think the same today. But I think she has a decent amount of experience - which she got by trying to pull herself out from under her womanzing husband's shadow (which can't have been easy) AND she has support/momentum. I think she's the only candidate to possess both at that level. I don't support her and don't know who I'd vote for, but I think she has the best chance.

Pretty much we are screwed.

BTW in listing all the anti Hillary points you forgot to mention that she is pro starting new wars in the middle East, while at the same time she holds the policy position that the US should take in 60,000 even 100,000 to more refugees from the very countries she proposes attacking. I am very convinced she will start even more wars in the middle East and push to open our borders to mass inflows of migrants and refugees. She has pushed for both publicly. The only one holding back against it has surprisingly been Obama.

An Open Letter to Donald Trump:

Mr. Trump,

I try my hardest not to be political. I’ve refused to interview several of your fellow candidates. I didn’t want to risk any personal goodwill by appearing to take sides in a contentious election. I thought: ‘Maybe the timing is not right.’ But I realize now that there is no correct time to oppose violence and prejudice. The time is always now. Because along with millions of Americans, I’ve come to realize that opposing you is no longer a political decision. It is a moral one.

I’ve watched you retweet racist images. I’ve watched you retweet racist lies. I’ve watched you take 48 hours to disavow white supremacy. I’ve watched you joyfully encourage violence, and promise to ‘pay the legal fees’ of those who commit violence on your behalf. I’ve watched you advocate the use of torture and the murder of terrorists’ families. I’ve watched you gleefully tell stories of executing Muslims with bullets dipped in pig blood. I’ve watched you compare refugees to ‘snakes,’ and claim that ‘Islam hates us.’

I am a journalist, Mr. Trump. And over the last two years I have conducted extensive interviews with hundreds of Muslims, chosen at random, on the streets of Iran, Iraq, and Pakistan. I’ve also interviewed hundreds of Syrian and Iraqi refugees across seven different countries. And I can confirm— the hateful one is you.

Those of us who have been paying attention will not allow you to rebrand yourself. You are not a ‘unifier.’ You are not ‘presidential.’ You are not a ‘victim’ of the very anger that you’ve joyfully enflamed for months. You are a man who has encouraged prejudice and violence in the pursuit of personal power. And though your words will no doubt change over the next few months, you will always remain who you are.

Sincerely,
Brandon Stanton

Speaking of Hilary, and her version of the "truth", just yesterday she said while she was Sec. Of State, we didn't have anyone killed in Libya. Isn't she the same person who said, "What difference does it make, they're all dead now?", referring to the three men killed in Libya on her watch? Pathological liar. I am sure she will try to spin this as she "mis spoke".

"Me and Chelsea were under constant sniper fire."

Hilary for prison in 2016. I sent her a copy of Martha Stewart's book, "How To Make The Most of Small Spaces".

:amen:

sometimes i think this country is full of maniacs who can only see red or blue and are so tied up in what they think "their" party stands for that they lose sight of the fact that we are all more alike than we are different. You have a pretty great speech right there, and i appreciate it.

a complimentary cold beverage and some conversation, if you are ever in Houston, sir

hahaha I read this thread and at this point I'm trying to figure out if I have enough to build a bomb/nuclear fallout shelter because we all know its going to happen with either one in office. Oh and Putin for president because that guy looks bada** doing everything and he off-roads too.....

Putin definitely knows how to lead. Weird thing is, all those pics of him with no shirt on, he looks like my wife could beat him up. What does he bench, 25 pounds? Do you even lift, bro.......

I am not sure whether to laugh or cry.

All I can say to that is I wouldn't want Trump or Hilary without a shirt because Trumps on a third wife so that tells you something and Hilary's probably worse because Bill cheated on her......20 years ago hahahahaha

Who is BrianSD_42? I tell you, this guy is the worst guy. People are calling me every day and saying that he's the worst. He doesn't win anything. That's the problem, nobody wins anymore. We don't win anymore.
