You don't run in conservative circles, so your ignorance is understandable. Conservatives were and remain livid about the bank bailouts. They're a perfect example of what's caused the schism in the republican party: so-called "conservatives" doing things like this that run contrary to what they claim to believe in. This is what gave rise to the tea party and now the spate of insurgent candidates in this year's election cycle. What you see as evidence of conservative hypocrisy, conservatives see as betrayal.

Imagine what would happen in the democrat party if Hillary won in November, then proceeded to work with republicans to dismantle the massive suffocating bureaucracy in Washington, institute a flat tax, bring the epa under control and reinforce gun rights. Now imagine that went on for twenty years with democrats promising the same shit they do every cycle and then acting like republicans the minute they got elected. Personally, I strongly support Ted Cruz for a variety of reasons, but it seems as if the social-media aspects of this have supplanted what used to be the criteria for choosing a candidate. Oh, well...

That said, don't dislike Trump, I'm just concerned that he doesn't really mean what he's saying and that this is just another game to him. So ar, I haven't seen enough (some, but not enough) to sway me from that concern.

But I will say this... With Carson and Fiorina out, Cruz and Trump are the only two I ever even considered, so from my chair we can win big with Cruz or win with Trump. Either way we win.

Of course, we will have to see how this translates to the general election, and in that regard, Trumps populism is definitely pulling voters from all over.

In my opinion, the best thing that can happen is for Cruz and Trump to stop beating the snot out of each other and join forces. Game over...

Everyone reading think about this: Trump is like my 26th choice in this election so you know he is not my favorite. But this is what I think:
Trump is probably the most truthful of anyone in the race. Why? He says what's on his mind with no pretense of political correctness.
He has changed his mind a dozen times and he tells people this!
He is beholden to no lobby or special interest group.
He does not pander to any specific group.
He has basically said "Elect me and I will make the best deals possible to make the majority of Americans happy." How? I think he is going wing it and decide when options are on the table.
And finally, every politican on both sides absolutely hate him and will do anything to keep him from being elected. I'm betting there are already talks between both parties on how they can work together to rein him in if he wins. He already is getting more cooperation in Washington and he is not even won anything yet!

So, in my humble opinion, how can you hate a guy who has no real position on anything, has changed his mind on the ones he has voiced, has both parties hating him, has no real agenda except make America great again whatever that means and has no real reason to take this job because he is already a billionaire and has the power that goes with it?

Why do all the media and competition talk about his hair and skin color and body part size? Because that's all they got lol. They have no answer for someone like him. Just my observations.

His full plan outlays current vs proposed tax brackets, and you have to reach 411,000$ house hold yearly income before your tax rate increases.

Where are you finding this? The only places I find that claim most folks income is actually going to increase are factoring in some sort of universal health care along with all of his other proposed bennies. For me, most of these are things I don't want or need.

I am not trying to anti-Sanders here, I have just been accused of being uniformed and am trying to remedy that.

In November we are asked to choose a person we trust to make reasonable, informed, smart decisions based on information he/she will get from advisors and experts that we, the citizens, will usually never know about. There is an enormous level of trust there and you are pointing even more clearly at why you need to choose the most astute, level headed, open minded, and composed person of the group who is most likely to represent the common person.

See, I think he has the demeanor of a non politican. Most pro politicans have had years of coaching and practice, both in demeanor and speech. I'm pretty sure that if you put ANY normal citizen, rich or not, under that microscope they would perform similarly.

I do think that if Trump does get elected there will be no gray area. He will either be the worst or the best president ever. No in between. That right there is a reason think hard before you vote.

I completely disagree with this and I could easily and seriously see him walking off the job after 12-18 months to return to his life of leisure, excess, and freedom. High level gov't does not befit a person born into money. He has not worked a day in his life the way we would consider "work".

I would have voted for Mike Bloomberg in a heartbeat.

This doesn't factor in his universal healthcare premium which we all get to pay, not to mention the premium that your employer gets to pay. I am pretty happy with my healthcare plan, and I don't want to subsidize others anymore than I already do.

I guess we kind of hijacked the Trump train here, so to get back on topic. I would have a real hard time voting for any of these folks. It is always the lesser of evils for me, but this election will be taking that to a new level.
