Historical reality:

The recession was actually kicked off by Clinton era laws regarding the home building industry, resulting in the "bubble" to burst. .... ARM's (Adjustable rate mortgage) all because "everyone gets a trophy" Bovine Excrement. That, coupled with the relaxed rules and regulations in the mortgage industry.

Actually the Garn–St. Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982 allowed Adjustable Rate Mortgages when fixed mortgages were approaching 19% and REAGAN was president.

It was selling mortgage backed securities that caused the crash. The Tax Reform Act of 1986 created them. Who was president in 1986? Reagan.

You said you were born in Poland. Putin will meet you there shortly.

I have EE immigrants in my family and they are not stupid enough to say Putin is good for anyone. Your statement was treasonous.

My statement was a joke. Is everyone on here so closed-minded that humor passes right over there heads. I know many people in/from Russia and no one has a problem with him, the only problem they don't like him a little is because as he's in office, many countries(following in the footsteps of the US) put economic/trade embargo's on Russia which screwed everybody and the media obviously has a "fun" time reporting that. Another example, remember Sadam Hussein? Anyone you ask in Dearborn,Michigan or Windsor, Ontario who is Iraqi will tell you that he was a great leader and wasn't bad but obviously media and US politics made him look like a bad guy and like Russia, they screwed the people when accusations of the USA, and all Americans blindly believe and trust it.

that dude just has mommy issues hahaha. No, he is a common threat to multiple countries and it is acknowledged as a threat by Cuba, Russia, and even Syria and others "like" that.

The GOP represents their constituents when they shutdown the government like spoiled petulant children or plainly refuse to even hold hearings and vote on a SCOTUS nominee even though 65% of Americans think they should.

I guess the problem is the constituency and not the overpaid do nothing brats in the GOP, thanks for the eye opener.

So much irony and hypocrisy in one post.

The "compromise" is in the funding bills that continue to pass the House and Senate furthering a liberal agenda. You get what you want and still ***** and moan that it isn't enough.

How is the budget a liberal agenda? The Republicans own the house and the Senate.

President Obama does not write the budget of the US government.

You know that right?

Each year the executive writes a fantasy wish list budget and takes it to Congress. For the last several years Congress has been controlled fully by the Republicans.

You know that right?

Can you provide details on that? It was Clinton and not Bush who deregulated the mortgage industry?

"President Clinton's tenure was characterized by economic prosperity and financial deregulation, which in many ways set the stage for the excesses of recent years. Among his biggest strokes of free-wheeling capitalism was the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which repealed the Glass-Steagall Act, a cornerstone of Depression-era regulation. He also signed the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, which exempted credit-default swaps from regulation. In 1995 Clinton loosened housing rules by rewriting the Community Reinvestment Act, which put added pressure on banks to lend in low-income neighborhoods."

Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act
The act is "often cited as a cause" of the 2007 subprime mortgage financial crisis even by some of its onetime supporters. President Barack Obama has stated that GLBA led to deregulation that, among other things, allowed for the creation of giant financial supermarkets that could own investment banks, commercial banks and insurance firms, something banned since the Great Depression. Its passage, critics also say, cleared the way for companies that were too big and intertwined to fail.

Signed into law by President Bill Clinton on November 12, 1999

Calling one of the most reasonable moderate posters in this thread stupid or a troll is one way to admit you lost?

Admit I lost? Please...

The fact that neither of you comprehend that a budget which includes funding for key components of Obama's liberal agenda represents compromise speaks volumes in regards to your aptitude (lack thereof) for engaging in such topics.
