Who's ready for President Trump!

"President Clinton's tenure was characterized by economic prosperity and financial deregulation, which in many ways set the stage for the excesses of recent years. Among his biggest strokes of free-wheeling capitalism was the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which repealed the Glass-Steagall Act, a cornerstone of Depression-era regulation. He also signed the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, which exempted credit-default swaps from regulation. In 1995 Clinton loosened housing rules by rewriting the Community Reinvestment Act, which put added pressure on banks to lend in low-income neighborhoods."

I'll add to this...

Under Clinton, GSEs (Fannie and Freddie) increased their acquisition of high risk mortgage backed securities from 30-50% which at the time seemed like the smart thing to do. Bush (ill advised) bumped it up to 55%. Then the bottom fell out and the rest is history.

so how long after trump becomes president do we get to start blaming Obama for all of his **** ups?

It'll never happen. Everything that's wrong with the universe is all Bush's fault, and Obama has simply been unable to undo the damage.

Yeah, I know it BS, but that's what they'll say.

Funny...

Russia not happy being portrayed as an enemy...
Hillary not happy being portrayed as herself...

I cannot fathom why she did the barking thing. Seriously huge lmao moment meant for late night TV fodder. Makes Bidden seem like the more measured one.

Of course Trump is ridiculous and says outlandish stuff all the time.

Reagan, Clinton...

It's not left or right. The only party these guys care about is the blow variety.

The Dems are scared to death of Trump, because the political playbook goes out the window when you run against him. With The Donald, things that should hurt him, actually help him. I don't write this as a fan of him just an observer. He calls Rosie O'Donnell names, and instead of being offended people go bat sh** crazy over him. He is like the hooker who says, "What do you want me to be?", he changes positions and it doesn't matter.

I see Elizabeth Warren is now attacking him. The first term Senator who got a job as a Harvard professor by pretending to be a Native American.

We will all together get exactly what we deserve.......no more, no less.

Up until recently I always assumed people weren't stupid enough to ACTUALLY elect Trump. I mean, no one around here or that I know personally would even consider him seriously. But then I read this thread...

Well actually it is an opinion piece which is not the same thing as an article at all.

The opinion section is not considered fact based journalism (therefore it isn't really biased) in any major newspaper I'm familiar with.

I mean considering people are blaming everything inconvenient in their life on him already why not now?

I really think it's got to be due to being the first pres during a time of overwhelming American access to Internet but it's beyond me simply how much people complain about Obama. People simply have access to an outlet to complain constantly and waste time instead of actually doing something. But, maybe not .....maybe I'm the only one who has done well (Sorry to brag but actually I'm not) considering I know very well a friend who blames Obama Obama Obama right now and has prospered more in the last 6 years than in his whole life other than simply aging.

(In upcoming part not meaning you specifically, but "people"... I'm serious I'm not attacking you I promise. It's easy for that to get misinterpreted)

Have people really had it That bad only for these 7 years of their life? Are you really really sure that the only person responsible for that is this president? You don't have any personal responsibility at all for your life?

When you sit your daughter/son down one day did/will you tell him one day he/she(y'all see how equality I just was-daaaamn) will be grown up and it's important that she/he stands tall and blames the current or most recent president that he/she didn't like for her/his problems?

Since everything negative is his fault is he directly responsible for everything good to? My house, no car payments at all, bought my dream race car. Should I write him a letter and thank him for that or is any of that due to my hard work?

Presidents suck sometimes, other times they do things you like. Put the big kid pants on and stop blaming another guy for all your problems whether he wears a red tie or a blue one.

Amen. Its always easier to blame others or the "lack of opportunity" when people can't succeed on their own or have no ambition. The same way they complain about the cost of health care without acknowledging that they are severely overweight, lazy, and don't generally take care of themselves.

Its easier to turn on the "news" and buy into what they're complaining about and make it the source your problems as well.
