will a RTT work with my Baja Rack?

I have this rack: Baja Rack

Actually, the model vehicle on their website is mine. So it's 5" high...can I put a RTT on it? I'm interested in the tepui RTT group buy but still trying to figure things out. Thanks!

I think you could, but not without some sort of crossbars on top of the rack. The reason I went with the flat utility rack instead of that one was just so I could mount an RTT easily and as low as possible.

I wonder if I would need cross bars or just some gussets. I think the tent platform is strong enough to support occupants weight.I suppose I could contact tepui and ask their opinion. Since they are currently having a bajarack/tepui deal, they might know the specifics.

Checked the link you provided for the rack, should be no problem. You can mount Tepui's on either lengthwise or widthwise crossbars, depending on how you mount the included Tepui rails during the initial install.

Nice. Yea the video/instructions describe the alternate ways of mounting the tent rails with respect to side or back of vehicle opening, but it likewise enables different mounting options for various roof racks as well. You shouldn't have a problem, once you have it in front of you it'll make sense. I know on my Gobi rack I could have installed the tent rails in either configuration and maintained a side opening. I installed mine at their shop in Santa Cruz and opted for mounting the rails side-to-side, mainly cause they threw out the idea that if I ever wanted to run an awning I could potentially mount it directly to the tent rails, making it easy to take on and off. If you do this you'll want to keep the tent rails a few inches longer on the opposite side that the tent folds open. Either way, goodluck!
