Windows Squeal?

Does anyone here have a squeal in their windows when going up or down when it has been raining?? my previous 2010 LE did it and my trail 2011 does it too.. i thought maybe it was due to tinting the windows but i haven't done that yet on this truck.

I don't notice it on my front/rear windows, but it happens with the rear hatch window. The mind, it boggles.

Did you guys try cleaning out the rubber window tracks with a wet rag? The slightest amount of dust/debris seems to make my tailgate window squeal.

My truck stays clean for all of 5 mins after a wash (country living woohoo!). I'll try washing the tailgate and rolling down as soon as dry to see if that's it.

My '12 TE's rear window has done it since I got it about 4 months ago. I figured it was the fine dust that covers everything here in NM. It's hard to keep cars clean here.

I take a bar of wax and wipe it inside the rubber track after cleaning it with a rag and it works perfectly. Try it

I put rain-x on my rear windowand its lasts for many months.
the sound you are hearing is road grime on the window seal, as it was told to me

one other thing i noticed today.. was that while its wet.. and the window is going up.. it tends to jump around quite a bit on it way up.. i'll be taking it toyota next week to have the TSB headlights and TSB drive shaft clunk taken care of.. and i'll have them check the front windows too..

I use a rubber cleaner (Autoglym) to clean the tracks then spray them with a bit of silicone lubricant. Works perfectly.

You don't have to do that. Just clean the tracks (back side of front window) with a rag and some water. Make sure you get the rag back into the track. It will be good as new.
