Would it be nuts to own two 4runners??

If we end up moving out west to SW Utah (don't know when that might happen, right now but I like to be prepared) we will have to dump the 350Z and go with two 4wd vehicles. I've looked at Tundra DC's and Titan's and I don't see any benefit (less covered space and not a very big bed) could just get a little carry-all trailer for stuff you did not want to put into your SUV. Now I start looking at SUV's and I am right back too the 4runner. I would love to get a used Landcruiser but for a little more luxury and 15 cu.ft. of additional space, the numbers don't workout. 2001 Landcruiser with 40-50K miles (if you can find one) runs about the same as a new V8 SE 4runner. The LC requires more maintance and gets worse mpg, plus the old ??? about how it was cared for by the previous owner. Any ideas? Would I be a nut case to own a 2004 SE V8 and also buy a 2005 SE V8? I would buy a different color so they would not be twins

hey pitbull....i've been considering the same thing. in about a year or two, my parents are considering another vehicle. my dad wants the new lexus gs, but my mom wants an SUV. she says it's more practical for winter driving. I told her about the new 4wd gs, but she wants something taller (an SUV). she wants the rx330, but i'd much rather get a "real" SUV. We don't want a V8 because of the gas prices. After looking at all the SUV's on the market (I don't want American), I'm taken right back to the 4runner. Too bad the gx doesn't come in a V6.

problems? nope! my mom likes the v6 a little more because of the gas consumption but I like mine because its v8 and it runs smoother.

That would definitely not be a problem! I guarntee that you will love it. I was the first one in my family to get a 4Runner and then everybody started following along. As of now, I have a 2003 V8 Sport and my parents just purchased a 2005 V8 Limited. My parents like the 4Runner so much that they may purhcase another one in a year or two. I have to tell you that it is so much fun having two 4Runner's, especially two out of the three available trims.

Pitbull, how bad would it be if your driveway looked something like this?

Hell no, there is nothing wrong with owning two or more! We are most all confessed addicts anyway so indulge and enjoy!

just make sure you get two different colors! i noticed you said you wanted more room like the LC offers. do you have kids? are you planning on modding it or lifting it? if not, the sequoia is a pretty good truck. good luck!
