What bulb did you use for your climate control screen? I did mine but it looks yellow

EDIT: Had one of my dash wedges from super bright led's break its contacts, not a big deal but tried to get it warrantied through them and they were incredibly unhelpful. They insisted that I send the broken bulb back (after sending a picture where the broken contacts were obvious). That it be shipped in a box, not an envelope and wouldn't confirm if they were going to cover shipping the new part. So potentially spending 15-20 dollars in shipping for a 3 dollar bulb. I bought my replacement from CTLumination and while their website is super confusing, their customer service was excellent (they originally shipped the wrong bulb and corrected it quickly).

In 3 and 4 mm sizes, which correlate to neo-wedge A and B.
The ac unit definitely looks a little more of a yellow red then the rest of the gauges but i think that is just coloring inherent to the screen.
The ac unit bulbs are also much brighter than the options for the gauges, it hasn't bothered me too much but others might find it annoying.

I did NOT use LEDs. Why does the climate control now work but surrounding buttons don't? I replied the 4 bulbs, is 2 specifically for the surrounding buttons and maybe those are defective? Anyone know?

Yeah there are two for the dial and lower buttons and two for the actual display and the top buttons. you might have a fuse out or maybe the ribbon is disconnected to the actual circuit board. If that's not it maybe try finding a replacement

Did you put the #74 bulb INSIDE the #24 socket or did you just replace the #24 socket completely? My #24 sockets are burned out and falling apart. Out of the 3 sockets, only the right one lights up.

I think I just dropped 74s into the spot the 24s came out of
I don't remember switching bulbs into sockets, but it was so long ago that I can't say for sure. I'd go check for you but that truck is totaled and in a parts yard these days... sorry

Nice, I want to do this so I can fix my climate controls. For some reason (i'm blaming the guys who did my radio install), my climate control button's work sometimes 100% or 0%. I need to fix this so when its stuck on defrost with AC i can change the settings. Unfortunately when they did my radio they also cracked my display gauge. Very upset about this but I tried talking to the manager but it got me no where.
I'll probably ask for these for my Christmas Present. Very nice, I think i'll go with a different color

I also will be replacing the stereo.
Once all bulbs and stereo are bought, I'll get it apart and work will commence.

Bulb Chart.
What is the size for the EXT/RR? I can see it on this bulb chart but the text is blurry. Looks like it says Nep-wedge A,when I go to search for it I don’t see it. All I find is some that say NEO wedge T4/T4.2 or Just T3 wedge

I would replace both those bulbs if I were in there. I'll bet once you snap it all together you may break the filament in those bulbs. Not sure which one of these is the "tall" bulb. Less than $5 each from Camelback (shipping will probably be more)

The other "bulb" is an LED. Would be highly surprised if that was out. Only comes on when you press the button on.

The 2nd pic shows an LED, it's replaceable but requires de-soldering the old one from the PCB then re-soldering a new one back it's place. The first pic shows the incandescent bulbs. The entire bulb is what Toyota sells, you simply twist the plastic base , pull out the entire bulb the install the new lamp. If you have a decent electronics supply store around your area, you could by some new 12V bulbs, I believe that they're an eiko 2174 bulbs.
You will need to unwrap the leads from the old bulbs and fish them through the base. Then you fish the new leads through the base, wrap the leads around the tabs and trim off the access. You also have to remove the green silicon filter from the old bulb and transfer it to the new bulb. It can be tedious and sometimes the silicon filter just crumbles. It's completely doable, you just need to be aware that sometimes it won't go as planned. Those small silicon filters are a PIA to purchase, they are always a mail order part and usually a minimum quantity makes it not worth the effort. Good luck and don't be afraid to give it a go, nothing ventured, nothing gained !
