XM Radio Signal Quality

I live in Las Vegas and have never had a dropped signal, I just renewed my one year seeing as my trial had ended.
After 1 hour on the phone whining and sighing I got a one year renewal for Sirius basic no trafic or weather (never used that anyway) for $62. I was happy with that deal even though it took alot of time on my half.

Baltimore here. Drops out frequently in light to moderately dense woods or along highways lined by tall trees.

I too had Sirius for years and swore that XM was the problem with reception...turns out it was my antenna that was faulty and the dealership replaced it for free.
All the places I use to drop signal from are no more.
You all may want to try the dealer out for starters. If out of warranty, try running another antenna from the back of the radio to make sure, before giving up due to "poor reception".

I drive up in the Baltimore area often, family in the area, and never experience any problems - FYI. May not be your exact location, though.

I rarely loose signal with the xm. Quality varies a lot, and sometimes sounds only as good as radio. Like the music selection and keeping up with new music, but probably won't be renewing a third time.

On the wife's car, she has Sirius. It looses signal more frequently under over passes and trees, but has about a three second delay before it cuts out, possibly to alleviate signal drop. Doesn't work well.

Xm sucks

I am having my antenna replaced on the 20th and will let you know how the quality is after that. I am also going to complain enough to get another free trial. This was the only bad experience with my truck. Other then that I absolutely love my truck.

my XM reception sucks here in MA under tree canopy or even in the wide open (highway) if it is real heavy cloud/fog cover.

Never had much of a problem. Recently the audio on XM has dropped dramatically, just like dropping the satellite. Reach over and grab the volume control and run it up. Then it's fine. Anybody else experience this issue?
