My dashcam paid for itself several times over today. Picked up a nasty double chip right in my line of sight a couple of weeks ago driving to work on I-575. The company whose truck threw the rock stepped up and paid for it when I sent the video. I appreciated them not making it some huge PITA. I would have just done a repair on it had it not been right at eye level but having new glass is pretty sweet.

I bought my truck in 2014 and it already had aftermarket glass. Not sure how old the windshield was but the difference is incredible without all the pitting. That bothered me almost as much as the damage and if you’re the same way, replacement might be a worthy investment at $200-$250 installed.
