I buy wheels that I like.
If I wanted a wheel that looks like every other "murdered out" wheel w/ fake rivets I would've bought some cheap AR901s like you. LoL

Stealth Custom Series makes a great product specifically for 4runners, FJs, and Tacomas. Not to mention Vin is an awesome dude. -10 offset on the stealth 6 which is what I have

I just looked and they're $125 now. I would definitely consider them "cheap", like you mentioned in your first post. They have fake little beadlock things and whatnot, but they look good. I saw them on another member on here, jwild I think. The offset is -6

I have those and love'em. They were extremely cheap (price-wise only) @ $100/each installed w/ tax but they definately don't feel/look cheap. The little details around the edge of the lip are more like the dimples on the FJ wheels than a "faux-beadlock." Worst case if you hated that aspect, they could easily be blacked out.
I really wanted the Konig Type-Xs but couldn't justify the extra $450. The only downside I see to these is the weight at 26-27lbs but thats only a negative when compared to super-light wheels like the Konigs or some Pro-comps.

I do love them, I usually go without the center cap for a more blacked out look (I painted underneath on the rear hub b/c it wasn't really black before). Thanks for the other info about the wheel though, that reassures me. I initially thought they may have been "cheap" because they were so affordable.
I didn't realize you had those, I'm gonna check out your pics...

believe me , I feel you. My Cadillac only receives the best of everything.
from audio, to wheels, to paint, suspension, interior etc...
but I cant dump money into both ,so I have to try and stay frugal on
my t4r build that was supposed to stay stock lol.

Nice, I didn't realize you were running them either. I did the same on mine as well...no caps and painted the rear hub. I tried the caps all 3 ways: stock, blacked out and off. They looked a lot better blacked out but I still prefer them off as it makes the lip appear deeper on the wheel. They could blow apart tomorrow but, to this point, I haven't noticed anything odd/overly-cheap.
Thanks man. I've done a few things to it...nothing major. The most $$$ being the suspension/tires of course. I really want a full roof rack but trying to convince myself otherwise. Ha. The tires are 285/70/17s.

thats exactly my point. my t4r was supposed to stay stock too. now its 4.5" higher and it got wheels and stuff

Pro Comp 7089 -- 5 wheels for $710 shipped, and I got back a $75 rebate. So $635 total. Subtract from that what I got for my old wheels on Craigslist--I got $250 for my old sport wheels. And if you are going with a larger tire, get the right backspacing and you avoid having to buy wheel spacers.
Also, regardless of what aftermarket wheels you buy, get the Gorilla ET lugs that Wheelers sells. You will need them because the Toyota lugs are so short.
