04 coil spring air bag experince.........a must do!

Once you have cut the bump stops, how hard is it to replace them with new stops down the road if you wish to return it to stock?

I finally got around and installed mine. The best 100 bucks i have spent, 75 for the airbags, and 15 for the beer for my pops and me.

I am going to get my trailer tomarrow and tow it around (actually i have to get it for the Insurance Adjuster for the bo bo i did). I courious how much if any it will sag now.

Keep us posted as to how they do. How big is the trailer?

Its a 19ft Tahoe Tow Box. It weighs in at 5480 loaded, whith a tongue weight of 680 lbs. Before the rear used to sag, alot even with a weight dist hitch. I find out today how it does.

I purchased them from summit racing. I looked the Part number on air lifts website, which is AIR-60809 and I found it on summit's site. its 66.88 plus shipping.

yup. Its the only kit air lift makes for a 4th gen 4runner. Summit Racing even sent me a free hat.

Mine are installed! (did the easy method too) Took the running boards off for some offroading Saturday, & inflated those puppies up! Looks like a different vehicle!

Can't wait to try them with the trailer now!

Mine just developed a leak. The damn air supply line had a small hole. I noticed it when i was towing. Now i have to take the whole rear end apart. I am going to look around for a new supply line, something stronger.

I also ordered an OME Lift kit today since i was pissed

Was this one of the AirLift 1000 kits (black hoses)? If so, why not just replace the line?

I hear air leaking from somewhere! Just joshing!

I would love to know how you punctured the air line though. Was it because of rubbing from your install or did somehting pop up and snag the line while you were driving!

It was the black hose, right under the bag itself. There was no way to remove the hose unless you remove the coil. (well you could remove it, but i dont know how to reattch it). I also wanted to see if the bag it self was ripped, which it was not. I just replaced the hose, with an extra section that i had left over. The hose did look like it was rubbing on the hole in the bottom of the coil seat. It most likely from me not installing it right. I did get some stronger hose form my buddy, that i am going to change out when i do my OME lift.

Just came back from an all day offroader, only to find all the air out of my bags too! Not sure what happened, but will investigate Sunday.

I found that when they are first installed, they do leak a bit, But it goes away. I leave mine at 5psi when i go offroading, and i dont have to much of a problem. Did you go to AZ rocks?

Haven't made it down to the garage yet to see, but it seems like more than just a little leakage.

Well I found the problem - the hose evidently got a kink in it at the air bag connection while off-roading. This led to a break. It was a fairly easy fix, cutting the line & reattaching.

I had 20 lbs. in the system while off-roading, to give a little lift to the back. We went over some pretty good drops, etc. I wonder if I should have had it at a different pressure?

i run mine at 5psi when offroading. This way the rear can flex better.
