damn dude. That looks pretty god damn good. Great work sir. What complications did you run into? I guess i will just have to wait till you finish writing your build thread. This makes me want to buy this for my truck too...

the only complications we have are:
1) Parking / override lead isn't working yet. (I think I screwed up the pin, though..)
2) PAC adapter doesn't work with steering wheel controls yet... need to call into their support, but I just don't have the time right now - I work full time, and on weekend / after work I have photoshoots, since it is finally warm out..
Other than that, it works, looks and fits great.
I forgot to mention, the iPod is wired in the glove box compartment.

I hope you don't mind if i ask some questions about your install, as i really like the look of it. And i like the pioneer unit more than the kenwood. Some of these questions might have been asked in the aftermarket stereo thread, but the answers have gotten lost.
1.) How come you chose the 130BT over the 120BT? It looks like the 120 is $800ish, while the 130 is $1200. From what i gather, there aren't that many differences in those two headunits. I'm thinking of buying a 120, since it's much much cheaper
2.) It looks like the metra dash kit is $50. Is that how much you paid?
3.) How do YOU like the Tom Tom Nav?
4.) can you play DVD movies while the car is in motion?
5.) for voice commands or for talking on the phone through the nav, can you use the factory microphone, or did you use the one that comes with the pioneer unit?
On the backup camera, do you only see it on the rearview mirror, or are you able to see it on the screen as well? I know this has been discussed, just want to know if you were able to find the correct pins.

No problem at all.
1) I paid 950 for the 130BT. For a 100$, I got the real time traffic updates, free.. it has slightly different hardware.
2) I got this one: Amazon.com: Scosche TA2106B 4-Runner Double Din and Din with Pocket for 2010 Toyota: Electronics
I liked it better than the Metra.. But Metra and I have not been the best friends for a while now since they do such a crappy job building their units.
3) I love it. Any nav can lead you to the goonies once in a while, this one, so far, works rather well. It is also the first nav that knows the roads that I take, and doesn't think that i'm driving off road..

i'm seriously looking into getting this done to my ride, just would like to know what the grand total is going to be around. I'd say it's probably like $1500

1.) i found a couple of youtube videos that say and show which led to change out. too.

yep, I've seen all the videos, and worked directly with the guys who had came up with override (411), I just didn't have the time to tear the console apart again, I think I know what the issue is.
I am leaving the metra kit as a very last option. I do not like metra. we're not friends, so I'd rather not be investing into their product.
And, very sorry, I didn't see your follow up to me answer.
I bought:
1) dash replacement kit
2) Wiring harness (generic toyota one)
3) PAC SWI-PS
4) Headunit itself
these pieces were necessary.
now, I also got the boston acoustics speakers and dynamat is in the doors.. Still waiting for someone to come up with a hidden subwoofer box, so I didn't have to do the custom work.
Viper 5901 is on the way.. front windows will be matching the front of the truck by the end of next week, and I have a CF stubby now

Congrats on the new ride! I am looking to get he exact setup that you have and I love that color!
google dometic truck fridges...i think eather antman or kingpin has one they make...but they make a few different sizes and models...
i went to target and bought a eco-friendly 1.0 cub fridge...it uses about the same watts of energy as one made for a truck...that way it doesnt run my battery down...but i also have to unplug it whenever my truck isnt running...im planning on upgrading to a dometic fridge...
someone eles might want to comment on if you need dual batterys for a dometic fridge
Also purchased Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface and wired it as instructed by the manual.It did program the steering wheel control but it did the wrong side. My truck has controls on the left and right side. The left side were the stereo controls and the right were the phone side, well the ASWC turn my phone side into volume up and down and the hang up button became mute. If any one could help it would be great,

Just wanted to express how pleased I am with the truck.. yet again.
Had a trip to Galena, IL last weekend. small, but beautiful historical town.
first part of the trip went as planned - highways.. but the last part ended up being interesting.
They had flooding, and this year it was worse than usual. most of the bridges were closed, one bridge that we were crossing got flooded as we were on it.. 3ft of water, and a LOT of mud didn't phase the truck a single bit.
we plowed through it like it was nothing.
Once crossed the bridge, we ended up having to take side roads (ones that my GPS or my map didn't have on, lol), and it was a fantastic ride - with windows open, plowing though small rivers/puddles going around 45mph (suggested limit was 55-65 per officer we met, but I wasn't brave enough to go that fast on the narrow roads), we didn't get splashed with water (though raised hell of a tide), and the truck didn't slip once.

just ordered the same truck, picking it up today or tomorrow. I have the stereo already plan on installing the following next week when I drive down to my house in florida from DC:
Alpine iXA-404, with bluetooth and GPS option,
JL Audio 6 channel marine amp
RF 10 punch subwoofer, if I can find a location for it.
plan to rewire the backup cam to the alpine unit.
Speakers are undecided at this point.
Dash kit and wiring harness are already on their way.
plan to get the windows tinted the day after I pick it up as well as that plastic chip protection film.
