I think the feeds are wired along the right side of the truck. We couldn't find them on the left side.. I'm still searching the repair manuals though. Check out the aftermarket stereo thread when you get a chance. lots of good info and pics in there
 
Picking it up at passport toyota in Marlow heights tomorrow, getting the windows tinted afterwards, will check out the camera signaling cable at that time.

sounds good. if you don't have factory nav, i think the camera feed runs from the camera in the back along the right side of the car, then somewhere it runs either up the right side a-pillar or across the roof somehow into the rear view mirror. I dont think it runs anywhere on the left side of the car. Also, be careful with the a-pillars as there are airbags in there.
 
airbags concerns are overrated ;) as long as you don't change polarity on the contacts, you're safe.

In other news.. can someone tell me how are the chrome pieces on bumpers are held up? Are there any push pins? snap locks? I want to get rid of that chrome, and none of the threads I looked at are discussing this part..

They are held on with clips. The chrome on the rockers is easy to remove after removing the rocker panels but the bumpers are a different story. I chose to delete my chrome with 3M vinyl instead of paint. I've used paint before and it always eventually chipped and had to be redone periodically. The 3M vinyl is awesome. Very durable and easy to install. I did not remove the bumpers to do those strips. Just cut the vinyl to a little larger than needed, get a heat gun and a credit card, and BAM, it's done. Takes a lot less time than paint. No mess, and no drying time either. Grill and rear plate all came out great. Now quit typing and get to work.
 
this is not VHT; this is a real paint.

I found VHT to be a pain in the long run. no matter how much clear coats i'd apply, no matter how much i'd polish the damn thing, tails would turn into matte black "ghetto" style paintjob.

Foques, you mind posting up what type of paint and the step by step process you did for those results? Very impressive!:thumb3:

Jay, it was done in my friend's body shop; black paint (I can get you the code, if you like).
 
unfortunately, didn't have the time. Had an emergency photo shoot over the weekend; just got back home.
 
alriight.. Yesterday was a fairly long day.. started at 11, and finished around 9.30...pm..

Results:
AFE intake is in.
All speakers are replaced with Boston acoustics PRO60SE and SR95s, powered by a diamond amp, mounted to the side panel in the trunk. Pictures will come later.

Had to fabricate own spacers for the speakers.

oh, yes, dynamat is rolled in, as well...
