for those looking at compatability with 2014 and 3rd party remote starts, i talked with my Compustar Rep yesterday and he did say the 2014 is the same as the 2013.

looking to get a Drone Mobile installed for $500 and $100 for 3 yrs of coverage for basic service.

at least range on a drone mobile is limited only by cellphone coverage :)

too bad there is a 3-4 week backlog currently, and this weekend/monday cold snap is definetly going to keep me inside, screw you ice fishers :)

blizzard conditions, -25F for the high, with monday wind chills in the possible -60F.

yes 13's are the same as 14's

Only thing that may be backordered is the DR3100, this is the new unit that is on verizons LTE network. Too bad you so far away, i have 10 in stock, 8 FT6200 controllers, and a variety of remote packages LoL

$500 is a average price.

You know the beauty of compustar is its totally upgradeable.

You can go one way remote today, tomorrow you can swap it out to the Pro 901 Rechargeable two way remote.
You can get the starter done today, go back when the DR3100 comes back in stock and get that added in. its simple plug in, setup and go. 30 minutes tops.

I tell all my customers about it, but do warn them for the additional labor for installing the drone after the starter is installed.

warden has a 9000's series remote start on her 12 tacoma. looking to upgrade her's to drone mobile, price was about $300 tops, closer to $250.

the only difference i see between the 3000 and 3100 is that the 3100 has a built in gps for the geo fencing, etc.

so the 3000's are not tied to Verizon, only the new 3100's?

and the backlog is installation, not parts :)

the cold weather up here is causing him to turn away or schedule it way out since the cold weather has hit.

what is a 9000 series remote starter?

compustar only has the following in their line up

-cm6000 is alarm starter combo unit
-cm6300 is alarm only
-cm6200 is starter only
-then there is the cheapo line up of LT units.

9000 series are you refering to the remote control? like this one?

Drone Mobile
DR-1000 is a older unit on ATT's network on EDGE
DR-2000/3000 is the same unit also on ATT network but now 3G, same unit just updated
DR-3100 is newest drone unit that is 60% smaller, on verizons 4G LTE network, only company to do so right now. Also much cheaper than previous units and much faster response times.

DR-3100 includes first 3 months of service free then its $50 per year or $100 for 3 years of basic service. competitors like the smart start do not offer any free service at all.

They all had GPS and cellular capabilities with tracking.

$300 to add on the DR-3100? We need to talk, i can send you one and you install it yourself for much less. PM me. Only waiting is for ups to deliver it to you LoL.

You also need to let me know what unit they installed for you. Any reciept, model numbers ect will help.

your installation facility sure doesnt know how to schedule installs then, if they are pushing you off on installing a drone mobile unit. :P

there is only 2 authorized compustar installers in a 100 mile radius. one is home stereo shop which i've had issues in the past with.

other is a person doing business on weekends only, he is full time air force :)

its the 2-way 9000 kit

  • RF-2W9000-SS Remote Kit
  • FT-6200S-CONT Remote Starter
  • Professional Installation
back when we bought the remote start for the tacoma, the local toyota dealer installed it, but it was the only place around back then i could trust.

now that i've found a authorized dealer/installer things should be better.
