2014 runner intake

Dyno is from a Mustang dyno which tends to be stingy but there can be a ton of variables with it as well, hot car vs cold car etc. If it was done on a dynojet it could be set to SAE so it would give a better comparison. I guess some one should buy one and strap it down on a dyno and do a before and after same day so we can have more data.
 
The claims are just as they're posted on any webpage regarding the modifications - dyno tests b&a, air volume increases b&a, air temp, etc.

I'm not arguing/disagreeing that there aren't better/more proper ways of increasing HP/trq (charging or serious NA tuning) - replacing plumbing would effect the HP/trq gains, but you would loose any noticeable "gains" in the lose from the fly to the ground. I mean plumbing only ever gains 10-20 HP in most cases. The main gain I find is in the responsiveness of the vehicle. An ecu flash would also be preferable as well as you stated.

I'm simply wondering what these companies are doing to produce the numbers they last claim to (again, mainly dyno test increases) because we're all basically claiming that they're lying according to our posts (Hopefully that makes sense).

It implies but never mentions those claims for a specific vehicle. In older vehicles it might well produce those numbers but not the 4Runner. Gotta read closely lol.

Plumbing still won't "gain" anything because you would still have the same ECU parameters as stock and what you "could" gain will be negated electronically as it is looking for certain mix, flow, etc. Again, nobody has came up with code that will change OEM specs.
