I'm not a fan of LSU (but I don't dislike them by any means) as well as I live in PAC-12 country, so I only see small bits and pieces. To me he doesn't seem like the right guy. Les Miles never seemed like a great fit either. Seemed like he was a great recruiter, but his in-game coaching (especially clock management) was not great (again, just my opinion).

Well as an SEC fan that keeps up with the SEC West the most LSU was stupid for firing Les Miles. What AD would fire a national championship coach then replace him with a proven loser at HC even within the SEC? Coach O was the HC at Ole Miss and sucked. Les Miles problem was he ran the same old stale and boring offense. If he would have fired his OC and gone after another OC I think things in Baton Rouge would be different. I feel like now the team has given up and there is tension among the OC and Coach O. LSU's AD should have gone after Tom Herman at the end of last year.

Ive often wondered if Coach O was the right fit also. Herman makes a lot of sense because Houston is a prime recruiting area for LSU, but anyone in Texas would accept the UT job. As much as I hate them, the job really is great. Watching them lose to MSU and then Troy, you couldn't help but feel bad for them.

The Big 10 looks interesting. All teams seem to have a weakness that is waiting to be exploited. PSU, Michigan, OSU, and the others all will eventually collide. Im curious to see who comes out on top this year.

For my Red Raiders, we looked better than we were supposed to against OK St. I think our defensive cord. is finally getting the type of players he has wanted for some time now. With that being said, TCU is now 8?!? What? I think they did well in Stillwater, but deserving of 8, I don't know.

On to week 5. Good luck everyone

Yeah I think Coach O basically was the last man for the job and they were stuck with him. He is going to run that program deep into the ground just like he did Ole Miss.

Yes the Big 10 or 11 or 12 or whatever they are has a few good teams but they will all collide and play each other soon. The Big 10 now reminds me of the SEC in years past. You had quite a few good teams at the top that were a consistent Top 15 team and they beat up on each other.

Well....that is all because of preseason rankings. They were around 116-19 I believe at the beginning of the season and then they beat a Top 10 OK State team when they were ranked 15 I believe so that is what catapulted them into the Top 10. Eventually they will lose and fall back. Just give it time. It always happens to TCU.

Just give TTU more time. They will be okay!

What big games are on this week? I am looking forward to my Bama vs Texas A&M match.

My co-worker is an Aggie and she just said she is NOT looking forward to that game. She said its going to be 99-0. haha Either way. Bama is stout...again. Clemson looks good again too, surprisingly. If you two end up playing, who wins the rubber match?

Eh it won't be that bad. I think Bama is favored by 27? Yeah Bama blew Vandy and Ole Miss off the field but let's be real those two teams aren't exactly top tier SEC teams. I think Bama wins but something like 38-10? Bama and Clemson are stout due to recruiting and coaching. To be honest I can't even say who I think would win that game. I think it would come down to whoever has the ball last once again. It would be a 4th quarter game.

If it was a Bama/Clemson rematch do you think that would be good or bad for college football?
 
A rematch is probably going to happen. I say they blow clemson out this year though. I hate bama something fierce, but god damn they're good.

You know, I have wondered that too. I can see both sides of the coin. As good as Bama is, they have a massive target on them. I think many who love college football would tune in to see who wins game 3. I think it would be better than watching someone else accidentally win and get in and then get the hell kicked out of them. I like the playoff..ish system that exists now but seems like they could do a 6 or 8 team system where there was a wild card or something like that. Remember the year St. Louis beat the Rangers in the world series, they were the wild card team. But then again, that's why we all love college football, EVERY game matters.

I’d rather cut my arm off than watch Alabama and Clemson a third time. I have bad feeling it’s going to happen. Thankfully my son has a hockey game the night of the National Championship game. I’m so sick of Bama and Clemson both. I’m up for about anybody but those two. I’d like Washington State and TCU but the world doesn’t revolve around me and it’s unlikely one or both of those win their conferences when all the smoke clears.

Well as a Bama fan I would of course love to see Bama in the Championship game again. I am not sure Bama/Clemson would be a good title game once again. Alabama and Clemson are saturating and have overtaken college football. It is those two and then everybody else. A part of me wants to see Bama/Clemson again just for revenge for last year but then a part of me wants to see a Bama/OU or Bama/Penn State for a fresh change. Who knows how this season plays out. Only time will tell. I agree they need to have an 8 team playoff.

I am sure! I am sure people want to see other teams but IMO teams like WSU and TCU aren't "elite". They are very good teams but when they get into the spotlight they will end up losing and fall back down to reality. Teams like Alabama and Clemson are elite because they play and win the big games. If you could choose two teams for your National Championship game who would you choose/want to see?

No those two are not elite they are really good programs at the moment maybe they are working their way to being elite. If I could choose WSU and TCU would be my choice. They are for now both top 10 teams depending on the poll. A maybe more realistic answer ( because yes they both probably won’t run the table) would be Michigan and someone. Possibly USC if they can crawl back in. Georgia would be ok too.

Ok, don't bust my nuts on this, but, I would like to see a Big 10 (pref Michigan) and a Big 12 (probably OU) game. It would likely never happen and OU has already proven its worth against Ohio State this year, but it would be neat to see.

In my world that revolves around me, Id like to Texas Tech in the title game. Never going to happen any time soon but that's my wish.

Being a Michigan fan also, Tech v Michigan would be my dream game.

Michigan and keeping the ACC and SEC out of the show is the only thing I can agree with

I can’t stand either Oklahoma school and growing up in The Texas Panhandle I’m not fond of Tech with the exception of Zach Thomas.

Well if Alabama doesn't make it I would like to see a PSU/UGA matchup or OU/PSU. Just something way out of the ordinary that nobody would ever expect. I think that Bama/OU or Bama/PSU would be very good matchups.

Being I Dallas, I have UT and A&M forced down my throat so I can understand.

I can only imagine. I bet being a TT fan you are in the minority. Last time I was in Dallas all I saw was UT/T A&M garb everywhere. Here in Atlanta there is a huge diversity in schools. You see lots of UGA fans, some GT but lots of Alabama and Auburn fans here.
