2020 Remote start

You'll get it with the limited trim.
I also contacted toyota and there's no option for the 2020 as well as no app option. I ended up letting the dealer install an aftermarket one that uses the original key and works like the OE ones from previous years. There is no OEM option at this point.
Any idea what brand the aftermarket version was? How do you like it?
Actually picking up the vehicle tomorrow morning and I'm gonna try and get the instructions just in case I have any issues.
If I have any info to pass along I will.

For the 2020 4runners, all models have the capability. Now only the pro and limited have it activated from factory using the fob or app.
You can get aftermarket ( have it through your own bought and installed or through a 3rd party installing it) which will have different options. The general norm is fob activated after 3 locks, but others have a separate aftermarket fob or phone app.
I have a TRD ORP and went with an aftermarket self install which works great.

12 volt is out of stock for the 4runner. I could not find how much they cost, what did you pay for the remote for your Taco.

This is not std on any model, its an option. My 2018 Limited has it and it was an option.
2020 is different.
Yeah, no. My 2020 has it standard, not optional.

I just bought a 2020 TRD Pro and I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't have remote start. I hardly use the key fob. I use the app.
The install was pretty straight forward and easy besides one difficult wire to get to on the back of the BCM. Other than splicing that, it was super easy to install.
You're absolutely correct DallasTRDPro. I bought a 2020 Nightshade several months ago. We use the app all the time. The key fob never leaves my pocket.
You can even tap the top left side of the door handle to lock the doors, grab on the right side of the door handle to unlock. The remote starter app along with cloud navigation and a couple of other things are subscription based. So every year Toyota will be reaching back into our pockets.
Does anyone know what the yearly subscription fee is?
