4runner TRD Pro

Yes, I ordered mine in early November and received it last Thursday.

Steve

So I put down my deposit in mid December and was told 8-10 weeks. Then in early February they said they got one allocated and was built and shipped on Feb 10th. It was supposed to come by mid march. When I talked to them, they said it landed in the port on March 10th. They said it would take 3 weeks to come in after that. Then they emailed me sayings its at the distribution center and is being processed on March 30th and then will be shipped. So far my wait has been 15 weeks.

Has anyone else waited this long?

Also, I live in NJ. Now is the distribtion center in California and will ship from there? Or was it cleared of customs and shipped to a distribution center to NJ and then it will be processed and shipped locally.

Am I being yanked around?

Also, when they told me one was allocated and built they showed me the PDF window sticker with the VIN.

My dealer got in at least 3 last week. I believe mine was the only one on order. They got another Inferno and a Super White. May have gotten a couple of others as well.

Steve

I wasn't looking at the Pro, but my dealer said there was an allocation of only one per dealership and no choice of color.

Woohoo! Got my order update via Email and phone call. My Attitude black TRD PRO will arrive to the USA on April 11th in NYC then after a week or two it should be at my dealership in Virginia Beach, VA. Super stoked. I ordered mine January 31, 2015. :hatsoff::hatsoff:

I ordered mine December 22nd and am set to take delivery sometime next week. I do have the window sticker and VIN. So your wait seems to about the same as mine.

I ordered mine the last week of February and picked it up Tuesday this week. The salesman called last Friday and told me to come in and finalize the paperwork and that they'd have it ready in a couple of days. I was very skeptical, wondering how a TRDP could not already be sold, but went in the next day. Dealer said I hit the allocation perfectly. I was initially told it would be 6 to 12 weeks and I had it in less than four. I have no idea how my speedy acquisition happened but I am very happy it did. Got a great deal on my trade, paid less than sticker, and had nothing added that I did not want. Got cargo cover, all weather mats, and cross bars. No saran wrap, no slide out, no running boards, just as I had ordered it. Also got 2.9% financing even though the TRDP is not part of that program. In three days already have 240 miles on it, really liking my Attitude Black TRDP, goes well with my '08 FJ Cruiser.

Just placed an Order last Saturday. Order was confirmed as accepted late last week with an ETA Of early to mid June. So we will see. As long as I get it before August I'll be happy so I can drive it to Sturgis.

So it looks like my timing is pretty normal.

Can't wait for it to come in. Well, I guess I still have to wait haha.

I still haven't seen a single TRD Pro of any model in NJ/PA/NY area.

I'm tired of waiting to find a TRD Pro in my local area, looks like I'm going to have to order one and wait it out...got a few questions:

PRICE - I've been told $500 under MSRP is best they can do, does that sound in the ballpark to what everyone else has been paying?

TIME - If I wait till the middle of the summer will it be too late to order one?

PRICE I did much better than that. Several others also have. Depends on your ability to deal, your reasonable expectations, and on your dealers willingness to meet those expectations. Many posts and threads on this subject.
TIME Only your dealer will know or be able to find out when Toyota has reached the magic number and what the cutoff date will be. There is an end date, do your best to expedite this purchase.

FYI- I was seeing Super White for sale in that NJ/NY area available on cars.com (in case anyone else is looking). Decided to drive to NC for mine instead. Just could not wait I guess. I'm glad I did. Seemed like all the new ones being delivered lately were Inferno in color.

All 3 local dealers refused to deal. Full invoice or not at all 42,700.00. Could not believe no one would consider dealing.
Give us more info. Did you just cold call them and ask for them nicely to lower the price? Or did you repeatedly contact them or, even better, show up in person? Prove to them that you are ready and able to purchase and their tune may change.

sounds like we share dealerships! ;-)

wait... do we??? Thats what the dealer in Columbia and Jeff said, since then I've been told this is NOT the case. CoMo and JC both told me the only way to get one was to order and wait 8+ weeks. Next day I bought mine from Sedalia where it had been sitting and available for nearly 2 weeks

Mine was from Legends Toyota in Kansas City, Kansas. Had a good buying experience.

Someone kill this thread it is neverending. It just keeps repeating itself like Ground Hog day. I hate to say it but most of these later threads can be answered by reading the ****ing thread or trying to search for the answer. Yet, how easily I forget there are so many out that that would rather be given something without having to work for it. I understand alot of the frustration of others on this and other forums about this stuff. But the one that absolutely gets me is is this a good deal, or how long a wait, or if I order one how do I know I really ordered one.... So on.

Come on people, use you brains use apps like true car etc. Hit up mulitple dealer through the internet department, be willing to drive and actually deal with hard hitting the dealers and be willing to walk out. Most of all people have paid everything from well under to over. The concensis on the TRD Pro has been hovering right under MSRP. Most of all read this thread from the beginning and lear soemthig or search for it.

Now for those looking for one it is no magic wand you can wave. It takes work. Calling dealers, visiting dealers, being willing to drive even out of state, order one can be a gamble as of now I sure the numbers will begin to dwindle as yes they are limited. If you really want the look and cant find one you can always go the route of putting on the PRO gril etc. There are pluses and downfalls on this as the biggest downfall may be thr color, and if they do indeed dont repeat it history shows a better resale if you dont go crazy modding it. I know for a fact that if you read on here many post they saw one here or there etc.

Now yes it is limited who cares the exact number. Yet know it was said there would be about 500 of each color in the US. Many a discussion on this one.

Ordering one can be done. Some have had to put down deposits, others didnt, even others have been swindled by the dealer by them trying to allocate one and not be able to or to have it sold out from under them or terms changed by the time it came in. Make sure that you have some legal binding agreement and actual proof it was ordered. It can be done people, I knew when mine was built, when it was shipped, when it was at the port, when it went to the dealer, etc. It has taken people anywhere from about 8months to around 2 months strt to finish. There are rarities bit they are mostly dealer trades etc similar to what people where looking for. And if the dealer doesnt sell enough vehicle he cant even get one allocated to him. Again, all mention in great detail in this very thread.

For the love of god read on and search on. I need some content that has substance not the crap that goes on and on and on...

:jaw:

Finally. Someone said it. Listen we are hear to help eachother, but when no one reads through the thread entirely doesn't realize almost every question has already been answered for you.

Better that they ask the repetitive questions in here rather than start an entirely new thread and clutter up the rest of the forum. We all know that many will refuse to search or read and just ask anyway.

I have resigned myself to the fact that this thread will just be the same discussions over and over again.
