Bilstein 5100+

Don't see anyone with the Bilstein 5100's, FJ Coils and the Daystar 2.5/1.5. I currently have the Daystar on my XREAS and wanted to know if I should/could use the spacer kit with the Billies and FJ's.

You can, but its pointless to do so in the front. You can adjust the 5100s to 2.5" lift, so I would do that and use the daystar rear spacer (rear 5100s do not lift at all, thus spacer is still needed).

Just installed 5100's at .85 setting with FJ Springs all around

Before:
L. Front - 33 1/2
R. Front - 33 1/2
L. Rear - 35 1/4
R. Rear - 35 3/4

After: These are taken with a full tank of gas.
L. Front - 35
R. Front - 35
L. Rear - 36
R. Rear - 36 1/2

I also put on 2010 Trail Edition wheels and Pirelli Scorpion ATR 265/70/17 which add about 1/2 inch in height.

The Trail wheels are each about 1/2 in further offset, so the stance looks great

All in all a noticeable difference in handling and ride, a lot less "floaty".

FJC Coils - front/rear (2007-2009)
Bilstein 5100 (front only -for now)
OEM rear shocks
No front/rear spacers


Before (driver side):
Front: 33-5/16
Rear: 35-3/8

After (driver side)
Front: 35-7/16
Rear: 35-13/16

finally put brand new fjc 4wd rear coils in my 06 4wd today, i had hoped it would be only 1/2-3/4 lift at best but i got 1.5 instead, thats more than i expected, maybe cause they were unused,? eitherway i hope it settles some, if not i can at least crank up the CO's.

Strange. Let us know what happens after you put some miles on them. Several have used very low mileage coils and not gotten near that much lift.

update: after checking it next morning, found that the shop filled my airbags all the way, so i let most of the air out, filled the gas tank, this lowered the rear 1/2 inch, so i still got 1 in. with the new coils but im fine with that.

Add another T4R to the list. Did mine yesterday.

2008 UrbanRunner 4x4 (V6); Stock XREAS.
FJ Springs (07-09 4x4 Model)
Toytec 1/2" Top Spacer

Might settle down a bit, but got ~2" Front, and 0.5" Rear lift.

Like many have previously said, the ride does feel more solid, especially retaining the XREAS suspension. Very Pleased.

Now I need to read up on alignment, and get it done this week.

I did the FJ Cruiser Spring and Bilstein schocks setup a couple of months ago.

2006 SR5
V6
4WD
265/70 Tires
Bilsteins on .85 setting.

Gained 2" up front and 1/2" in the back.

Looks nice and leveled.

How much total lift should you get if you do the 5100s at the top setting(most lift) and FJ coils??? Does anybody have a fender/ground measurement with 265/70/17s set up this way?

Don't know of anyone that does. I'd expect right at 3" lift front. I had them on the 3rd notch with FJ coils. I will say this, I'm not sure if it was my setup or what, but my 4runner has quite a bit more body roll and nose dive with the FJ coils and 3rd notch than a buddies with FJ coils and the 2nd notch.

I haven't noticed any body roll or nose dive with the setup I have. In fact, I'm pretty impressed with the way it handles for a lifted vehicle. I'm right at 37" front fenders and a little over 38" rear with 1.5 spacer/FJ coils rear.
