The problem for me is a lot of the time, business partners/clients think that PM's know everything about everything and feel insulted when you don't have the answer they want. They don't realize that you are just moving along the project and not necessarily the SME

Yeah totally agreed, I can rant with you cause some of my clients assign the engineers to run there side of the project.

REALLY! like pulling teeth to get them to be organized, nothing against them they just don't function that way. I go in-circles with them trying to accomplish getting PO's and hardware shipped etc. tasks that should be done by a PM on there side or someone that is not the engineer. Confuses me why mangers do this to there team, clearly they don't care to do it or they would be better at it. Just let them work on the network and get me the configurations for the new hardware so I can have my engineer set up and ship to the site.

I agree. My job for the last several years is to come up with the idea after meeting with the OEM's, take the concept from a blank sheet of paper to some semblance of a project and turn it over to you guys to make it happen. It's funny sometimes a project guy will call me to ask a question on something I did several years ago. To him it's new and to me it's about 17 projects ago.

Anyone know what's up with [MENTION=85512]eddiebx[/MENTION] ? Haven't seen him post for awhile and just checked his user activity, which was on 5/10!? Very atypical of him.

I've had the 2006 IS350 and practically took it as far as it could go naturally aspirated. By the time I was done modifying, it was running high 12's at the track. This newest generation still uses the exact same v6 (2GR-FSE), but gives the suspension some tweaking with the F-sport additions. Plus you've got the ability to have 4 passengers, if you wished. The stock horsepower ratings are only listed at 306 at the flywheel, but mine was more like 350hp when I was done with it. I dynoed 298 hp at the wheels, before some old man finally did her in by turning in front of me while I was traveling 50mph. I walked away from that crash and found a new respect for their safety engineering that day.




The FR-S was built in conjunction with Subura and uses a turbo 4 cylinder. It's quite a bit smaller with only room for two normal sized humans. You may be able to squeeze some pigmies in the back but thats probably a stretch. I have seen these motors massaged to pretty good horsepower numbers, but I doubt thats what you'll be doing.



All in all the Lexus will have the status, be able to carry more people and luggage, and be much faster off the showroom floor. I'd say for an extra 100+ a month, the Lexus is definitely the no brainer.

I completely agree with this. I like the IS, especially the 350.
 
I ended up ordering an FR-S. I love the IS350, but I already stick out like a sore thumb in my neighborhood by having 3 cars that are all clean and new(ish). I'll get a luxury car when I move to a nicer neighborhood. :lmao: And, I really miss having a 6MT daily driver and I've never had a proper RWD sports car, so I'll scratch that itch.

Well, the reason my 4Runner and I had to part ways finally arrived this weekend.



I'm in love. It is modern but thoroughly simple. Loads of fun, easy on gas, quick enough, and the handling is sublime. It was bittersweet that my first trip in the 86 was to our annual offloading trip and this was the first year I didn't have my T4R, though. But I'm in love with the car. It just feels so right.
