I have seen a lot of questions about part numbers, what fits, what doesn't, etc. This is an attempt to answer a lot of those questions in one place. It will be a work in progress. If you notice something that is incorrect and you know the correct part number, please feel free to let me know and I will update the list.

Technical Service Bulletins (TSB)

T-SB-0141-10 Upper/Lower Windshield/Rear Glass Tick Noise
If a creak, tick, or rattle noise is heard at the top or bottom of the windshield, or at the top of the rear glass, the source of the noise may be the two stoppers bonded to the top of the windshield/rear glass, or the windshield retainers bonded to the lower edge of the windshield. This bulletin provides the recommended repair procedure to eliminate these types of noises from the windshield/rear glass area.

T-SB-0081-12 Headlamp Surface Oxidation
Some 2010-2012 model year 4Runner vehicles may exhibit a condition where the top, horizontal clear plastic surface of the headlamp appears to be oxidized or has a hazy appearance. Improved headlamp assemblies have been developed to address this condition.

T-SB-0166-10 (June 29, 2010)
Some vehicles may exhibit a harsh shift on acceleration below 20 mph during the 2-1 downshift on vehicles equipped with an A750 transmission. The Engine Control Module/ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM) calibration has been revised.

T-SB-0051-12 - Driver’s Seat Popping/Creaking/Squeaking From Lumbar Area (March 1, 2012)
Some 2010 – 2011 4Runner vehicles may exhibit a condition where the driver’s side seat back lumbar area makes a pop, squeak, or creak noise while driving. The condition may become more evident when driving on rough or uneven road surfaces or while moving around in the seat, especially if the lumbar support is fully extended. Replace the front seat back spring assembly to address this condition.

T-SB-0040-12 - 4WD Rear Propeller Shaft (Driveshaft) Clunk/Thunk Noise
Some 4WD equipped 2010 – 2012 model year SR5 and Trail grade 4Runner vehicles may exhibit a clunk/thunk noise from the rear of the vehicle or a “bump-from-behind” sensation just before a stop or when accelerating from a stop. Improvements have been implemented on the rear propeller shaft (driveshaft) to reduce this condition.

T-SB-0013-11 - USB/iPod Not Recognized

T-SB-0092-11 - MIL "ON" DTC P2111/P2112 AUG 09, 2011
Some 2010-2011 4Runner vehicles 1GR-FE (4.0L) may exhibit an intermittent MIL "ON" condition with DTC P2111 and/or P2112 (Throttle Actuator Control System stored in the ECM.

Nice, this looks like what I create in Evernote for all my vehicles. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, I was inspired by a thread at ih8mud that has a long list of 3rd gen mods and part numbers. As it grows, you will not have to search through so many threads to find what you are looking for.

Maybe stock wheel sizes for the 3 trims and some info on proper back spacing to clear suspension, what offset, when spacers are necessary....etc

Thanks WhiskeyCop :).

Just to make sure, is it @ 5k or 10k? I'm coming up on 25k and want to make sure I don't miss it.

What's everyone on here been doing?

My manual says 6 months/ 5000 miles (8000km), so I'm following it so far. I'm going to ask dealer on my next oil change, but I'm sure they'll say 5k - I don't think they know much about vehicles.

There are several different schools of thought on this one. When I purchased mine in March 2010, everything said scheduled maintenance w/ 0w20 at 5k intervals. I even received the complimentary oil changes for 2 years as an incentive, prior to it becoming a pretty standard thing for Toyota, and it said 5k. A few months later, when I received my coupons it was 10k intervals and I also received a new maintenance book that indicated the change. My selling dealership chose to honor the original agreement and did my oil changes at 5k intervals. I am now doing my own oil changes and will continue to do them at 5k (or close to) with full synthetic 0w20. My last change had about 7k on it and the oil looked terrible. To each his own.

By the way, there are a couple of oil change threads here at T4R, and it is one on the reasons I wanted to start consolidating some of the information.

I'll second this comment. You are doing a very time consuming service for all of us 5th Gen owners. I really appreciate it !

Great job.

Didnt see it as a sticky....

Mods!?!?!?! Sticky please!

This. I literally just tried searching for this thread and I couldn't find it easily... didn't notice it was on the front page before I began searching! Need to get this thing stickied!
