Wheels: Micky Thompson Sidebiter II 17x9 0 offset
Spacers: 1.5 wheel spacer, cheap ebay stuff
Tires: Falken Wildpeak AT3W 285/70/17, E
Suspension: ICON Stage 1, with 3" overland spring. With some JBA UCA. And two 1/4" shims to add another 1" to the 3.5 from Icon. So that make a 4.5" front and 3" rear lift
Body Mount Chop: None
Tire rub: only rub when I reverse. No rub at all on road or off road.
Trimmed: about 1/4" from front bumper.
Mud flaps: Removed fronts for now, they were rubbing little bit.

Great looking truck!! How do you like those Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires? I just bought a new 2017 and I'm thinking that the tires that came on it aren't good for off roading. Any information would be great. Thanks!!

Used 3dcarstickers dot com for replacement acrylic center Toyota decal ilo the MB center decal. See my post on this in the "what did you do today thread"

i know this has been discussed but i couldn't find the exact answer as to a stock trd pro wheel and a 285/70 KO2 will fit in the spare tire?

I just bought a set of Konig Countersteer Type X from FN wheels. As so many have said, Dustin was great to work with. Wheels should arrive tomorrow or Monday. BFG KO2s waiting at Discount Tire to be installed as soon as wheels arrive. Went with 265/70s, though still thinking about bumping up to 275/70s. That topic has been discussed to death, though I'm still open to someone talking me into the larger tires....

You'll definitely have rubbing at full lock with bigger tires. I have the same wheels with 285s.

Thanks for the input. I've decided to stick with the 265/70s. They're rated C, and the 275/70s only come in E rating. I'd rather not risk both rubbing and significantly altered acceleration and braking quality due to increasing the unsprung mass so much.

My rim and 275 tire combo weighs 2 lbs less per corner than the stock set-up.

Mounted these Procomp predators on my rig last Friday and took a trip to Sequoia National Park to test her out. The 285 definitely robs the truck of power but it's still very doable. I averaged 16.7 MPG for the entire trip and 15 MPG while climbing the mountains. Overall I like the look without a lift but I know these aren't as capable off-road. Getting my temporary lift put in this weekend, going with the 6112/5160 combo. Also getting pretty bad rubbing on full lock in reverse and going to have to modify the fender/liner.

They are pretty great off road!! Got them 10 ply, air down. great on rock, dirt, sand and we will see about snow soon.

TRD sema

I am no wheel aficionado, but love the TRD Sema rims. I have the stock T4R rims(17"x7"). Will the tires that came with these rims fit on the Sema (17x8)?

Also are the rims on eBay OEM, or are they FN with a TRD cap on them?

Old post but OEM are only 17x7 not 17x8. It is anyone's guess if they are FN's. Can't remember a FN price for the set off hand.

Also I can't for the life of me figure out why they made OEM "pro" wheels in 7" instead of 7.5 or 8.

I just got my black TRD wheels 2 days ago, and although 8’s would be great, ive read people’s posts here and there about tires rubbing, wheels falling off with spacers n all, i’ll stick with OEM’s for safety’s sake, then for warranty’s.

Doesn't really matter. Lug centric wheels are fine too. Just buy good lug nuts. I bought pro comp wheels and gorilla lug nuts. These seem to be the way to go. No problems yet.

Some great info on this thread, much appreciated! We had our first snow in MN yesterday and I get why there are so many complaints about the OEM 20" 245/60-20 tires on the LE. I went to Firestone to ask about other options and the guy had a good laugh because of the 20x7 wheels... Which, will be posted for sale soon as I've got a new set of shoes on order before a big trip out west next month. WTF was Toyota thinking...?:crazy: Good research info here helped the decision for sure!
