3.0 4x4 auto. tranny wont shift to od. replaced thermostat, today replaced the atf temp sensor but not sure if i changed the right one because after replacement my speedo went out and still no od. running temp seems good but still no od. i put cardboard in front of the rad to let it run a lil hotter and shifts fine when i do that but would rather have running correctly. could it be the rad? did i change the wrong sensor? they looked very similar, but i changed the one next to the two trans lines so.... any help greatly appreciated.

No CEL or brake lights coming on? I have no idea..... Mine did that, but I also had the manual shift blues. My brake light and O/D lights did their song and dance routine. I replaced the solenoids and it's been fine ever since.

Not sure what atf sensor your refering to.

The temp sensor your looking for is a coolant temp sensor on the back of the engine behind the intake manifold.

There are a bunch of cooling hoses and a few sensors there.

This is a stand alone temp sensor that reads coolant temp and sends the reading to the transmission module.

This sensor serves no other purpose but to indicate the temp to the transmission module.

It must reach 160f (if memory serves me) before the module will alow od to engage.

Had exact issues as you when i purchased my 93.
Sensor was bad, about 20bucks and 30mins later it was fixed.
