Alex, obviously you take great pride in keeping your rig immaculate. I dream of someday having a 4Runner as nice as yours. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

Also, thank you very much for your service :usa2: From one military family to another, we appreciate the sacrifice you and your family make to keep our country safe. Safe return home, and GO DUCKS!!!!!!!!

A.Wilson,

I noticed that you have a Head unit with a motorized fold screen...How do you deal with the screen folding down and hitting the shift knob???

Also, Im looking into the BOSS 550s..Do you notice any unwanted roll/sway in turns...If so, I may go with the 600s

he will let you know when he gets home and can install it and actually drive around on it... as far as the tilt head unit and the shift nob, he has a auto box, so rowing gears is not a concern (unfortunately)

The screen only hits the shift selector when I am in park, and ejecting a cd. To deal with this I will just put it in neutral, and it clears by a mile. Well, not literally.

As for the BOSS 550's, I won't know for a couple more months, as Isaac said. I don't think it will be bad at all though... If it is I will get the larger sway bars. sn0wrunner could probably lend some words on that... He has run them for awhile now.

I think the 550's are great. Not too much body roll with the sway bars on. But with them off it is a little scary in the corners. Definatley need to slow it down a bit if you plan to run without them.

Are you on back order for the new boss kit as well? I was going to order it, but they said the supplier is like 3 months on back order, so Im thinking I might just go with the ultimate kit since they seem to have been working for everyone else, and I already have it on the 11' limited.

Love the SC by the way, I really would like to find someone around here with one so I could get a feeling for difference in power. Of course if I could find someone who was selling theirs I might just pick one up!

I ordered my Boss kit months ago... It shipped the next day, and my wife said it got to my house in ~4 days. No back order for me.

The difference with the SC is incredible. It's not the same vehicle. Highly recommend it if you have the financial assets to do it, and do it right. (URD 7th, and if you want it perfect, a professional tune.)

I placed a few more orders over the past week or so...

Maintenance:
Upper Ball Joints
Lower Ball Joints
Tie Rod Ends

Upgrades:
Bixenon Retrofit Kit (FX-R Projectors)
4x 1.25" Spider Trax
285/70/17 Duratracs (D Rated)
Panhard Drop Bracket
WeatherTech Liners Front, Rear, and Cargo

He's in Afghanistan so I doubt he's ignoring you.

The fact of the matter is, there's no definite way to adjust it. I bought Alex's old gauge and I got it to zero by bending the mercury tube a bit with a screwdriver. Probably not the best idea to rely on. It was not accurate at all and took a lot of finagling. I plan on replacing it someday anyway, the vacuum side doesn't go lower than -20 and our trucks idle -22 or so. I'd tell you if my boost gauge didn't end at -20...

It hurts when ignore me

Doofus. I am fairly certain you posted that picture of it adjusted before you asked that question in here. :-p

Back to "ignoring" you.

Getting anxious to get back and install all of this stuff! I will have a bunch of time off so I plan to re-wire pretty much everything I have installed and use the Blue Sea fuse box I bought over a year ago to do it the right way.

Yes. Yes he is :D

That's what I did after looking at the inside of the gauge, carefully pushed the tube around. My ecu reads 6psi boost as does the gauge so its good enough for me. I appreciate your help!

Well, I got the lift and tires on :-). Very happy with the look. Not rubbing at all, other than on my OEM mud flaps :-(

I used the Toytec BOSS coilovers w/ 550lb Eibach springs, OME 890s in the rear with Bilstein 5125s. Also install 1.25" Spidertrax on all corners, diff drop, and Panhard drop.

Just one picture for now :-).

Busy this weekend, but next week I plan to install a Transgo shift kit, and start on my projector retrofit.

Thanks buddy :-)

They're yours when I find the ones Jared has. I may need to cut them up a bit to make them look presentable. If I don't, I am driving through Portland on the 2nd and could drop them off.

what are you doing down this way, what time on the 2nd?

ps just so you know what im referring to; the bottom section of your front flares, the mudguard/mudflap part that everyone is missing but you and 2 other people on planet earth somewhere and for gods sake, dont cut those up

Nope. Don't like it at all. Take it off. It's gonna be too slow.

Mine won't work. I've got an '01 with the wider flares. That's what you guys get for having oooooooooold ones.

We really need to get together for at least beers or something. Both your rigs are looking great. First one is on me as a welcome home.

I am heading to Redmond for a family get together in the Eagle Crest area. No idea on a time yet...

The only reason I would cut them up is because of that section that overlaps... If it were a gap it would drive me nuts.

Hepar I will take you up on that.
