Yesterday was a fairly crappy day for snowboarding... After about 3 hours, my wife had taken a couple good spills on the ice and was ready to leave. To be honest, I wasn't too upset about her decision.

On our way home, decided to drive around on some of the Forest Service roads I hadn't been on before. Not a TON of snow, but enough to find some very fresh elk tracks, and then a few minutes later, some elk.

Anyway, took a picture.

When I got home, I had 2 packages waiting from 4xInnovations. My sliders came. =) Now I just need to find some time to get them installed.

Well, not a whole lot going on in the world of the 4Runner. I over-greased the drive shaft and that wasn't a good thing... Ended up getting a replacement from a friend and plan to send my old one to a shop to get rebuilt. Curious to see what exactly I screwed up on it.

Other than that, it's just getting driven for fun now, and my wife has approved the purchase of bumpers. I would like to get them cheap, so I am watching craigslist hoping for an ARB to pop up for a good price. If I cannot find one I will just get the 4xInnovations front and back. I think they're a very good looking product.

Also, I bought a 1986 truck last week. I think it's pretty neat. 158k on the clock, and the 22r purrs like a kitten. Now that I have replaced the worn-out bench seat with some BMW E30 buckets, I think I am good to just drive it until it dies. I MAY desmog the engine, but it's not too high on my to-do list. Here are some pictures of it =) The paint is not as nice as the picture looks, but it's all there. Only 2 dents on the hood, and on good one on the passenger side of the bed (about the size of a dinner plate?). It effectively doubled my gas mileage though... For well under $2,000.

Well, this is happening faster than expected...

I will be ordering my CBI Hybrid bumpers (front and rear) tomorrow once I hear back from Nathan. I am now researching skid plates (budbuilt is appealing...) and a winch.

Other than my dream of IVD suspension... I think my 4Runner is almost done...

Lol. I remember when I first met you and asked you if you planned on ever lifting your runner and you said something along the lines of "probably not."

Haha, yeah. Sadly though, had my wife not seen that Moah billboard, the bumpers, skids, and winch would have never happened without insurance paying for it somehow.

I guess she does wear the pants in the family =(

Don't argue! Just go with it!

Alrighty. So skids are ordered. I went with the Savage Offroad skids due to the lower price, and free shipping. I am sure they'll suffice for my usage.

Also meeting a forum user to purchase his ENGO 10k winch tomorrow afternoon.

Things are looking good.

Now I need to send BigFishAllDay (hey there, BFAD!) a pm and ask him for the dimensions of his gas tank skid... My brother-in-law is a welder by trade and wants to make me something for my birthday...

Icons

Well, got out and did a little exploring this weekend with my wife and dog. Long story short, I was not thrilled with how my suspension performed on the washboards.

SO, I just sent SIKHILUXSURF some money for his old icon setup. Should get them on this weekend.

What suspension did you have I might be interested in your rear shocks my are toast...

I found the 890's with the OME shocks performed better on washboards than when matched with the 5125's.
