What lift and wheel/tire size are you running here? I just got my black 99 "highlander" yesterday, and this looks about perfect to me.

That was an older picture in this thread, so I assume he was on different suspension than his current setup, I could be wrong though.

I wish you were wrong. Things were much more simple those days.
In this picture I think I was running Icon extended travel coilovers set to right around 2" of lift in the front.
In the rear... I didn't have my bumper so it was probably still the OME 890 springs, with 2.5" Icon "Piggyback" reservoir shocks. Pretty sure that's right.
The wheels/tires are the same as today. 285/70R17 Duratracs "D" Load range and 17" Tundra split spokes.

Awesome rack! I have the WMW rack and I find the RTT is sitting higher than I like. How do you have your RTT mounted to this rack? Seems like the space would be very very tight. Thanks!

I have it mounted with u-bolts that come up from below the tubing of the rack, and bolt through the aluminum frame of the tent.
Unless a tweaker wanted to cut it off, you'd have to open it up to steal it.
Oh I get it you have it bolted through the inside rather then the outside, do you have any photos of the mount from the outside of the tent? Are you still using the factory rails the tent comes with or its just sitting right on the tent floor?

Perfect! Thanks for the photo. Do you find that the floor of the tent is strong enough to have that mounted like that? Also how many total mounts did you use?

The floor of the tent is surely NOT strong enough. However, the aluminum frame INSIDE of the floor is for sure. It's what the factory installed bolts run through.
In total I used four of these u-bolts. As you know, from the factory the tent is attached via aluminum rails which are bolted into the same frame I ran the u-bolt through. The two bolts it uses to mount the aluminum rail to the tent floor are TINY. These u-bolts are surely MUCH stronger. I have absolutely no doubts in this method of mounting the tent.
And yes, that image looks exactly like the u-bolts I used.

Yesterday I went to Autozone to get tire cleaner which, apparently, they ONLY sell in the form of tire shine. He told me this stuff was often reviewed as being "not shiny enough" so I bought it. What a mistake.

I use McGuire's tire shine and apply with a sponge. Works great and it's not shiny at all. Just darkens the sidewall up real nice.

[MENTION=82154]GSPRunner[/MENTION] and I went out with the ladies and the dogs to enjoy the sun shine at Lake Cle Elum. It was a PERFECT day out there. Warm in the sun, no wind, and no clouds.
I think the dogs had the most fun. My little scottish terrier isn't a huge fan of the water, but the pointers were going nuts.

beautiful truck. Mine is super charged as well I don't have the 7th injector setup but I do have the URD fuel pump and injectors. How was your truck before the 7th injector.

I never experienced my 4Runner without some sort of fueling modifications. However, nothing I tried functioned as well as the 7th injector.
There are a good amount of people that run the super charger with no modifications. My buddy runs his with no modification other than IK22 spark plugs and it hardly ever pings. We live at sea level, which I am sure plays a large part in that.

The Week of the Rattle
It has been a long week or two trying to track down a rattle.
GSPRunner and I convinced ourselves it was the cat, so I had it replaced it with a magnaflow hi-flow and it solved the rattling exhaust which was apparently not the rattle I was looking for.
After the cat install I got home and again started hitting everything under the 4Runner trying to replicate the sound. I smacked the rear coils and THOUGHT I heard it, so I hit them harder. The closer I got to the top of the coil the louder it got, and when I hit the top two winds it was making the same sound that had been haunting my dreams.
Instantly I was like wtf... How do I fix this? Did some research and found a lot of people saying you're screwed, but then saw a post for Whiteline Coil Spring Wraps. I thought, "huh, that looks an awful lot like sprial wrap for wires..." so I headed to Frys and bought 10' of it for $5.99. Lifted the rear with my hi-lift to let the suspension droop and spent about an hour wraping all the progressive winds with the spiral wrap.
Fixed. Victory. So happy.
So yeah, the rattle is gone.
Today I went out with my wife to go hiking and didn't even consider the snow level. We hit snow and started cruising through it about 3 miles from the trail head. With 1.5 miles to go, there was a ford f150 parked in the middle of the road. I THINK I could have aired down and went around him but I didn't want to risk it. Instead I just got myself stuck a few times and practiced using my new recovery boards. They're AWESOME. They simply work. Very well.
On our way out a Subaru Impreza had gotten stuck blocking the road, so I tried to used my recovery boards but just couldn't get them under the tires. Instead I winched them forward, and helped them dig tracks back out, and laid the recovery boards across the low points. With a bit of a running start, they were out.
We went to a few more trail heads and they were PACKED with people so we drove up as high as we could and parked to eat lunch. While there a 5th gen TEP parked next to us an hiked up the road further, and soon after a fellow lifted 3rd gen pulled up. We bs'd for awhile, then just say there admiring the PNW from atop.

On the way out my wife asked to drive through this low water crossing, so I said sure- hit it at about 20.
I am pretty sure she was going closer to 40.

As we passed back through Issaquah we stopped and got some milkshakes at XXX. Always a treat.
