so i moved this thread arond so you guys can see it better and add some more info.
The post cap fit perfect in the opening closest to the filter, whereas the other one closest to the TB was a little smaller than the post cap. I used a rubber mallet and hit the aluminum cap all the way around to make the diameter a little smaller. I was able to squeeze it into the opening but was a tight fit. As far as the vacuum connection, just picked up a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter and drilled/ tapped the post cap and screwed it in. Also picked up a little longer vacuum hose.
will i did this mod. and i got a K&N from amazon for 43$ and i am going to detroit from va so its like 900mi and ill post my mpg.
it was like 20$ for all the stuff i needed to do this mod..............
so from detroit to va. my first tank i got 470mi. thats about 20mpg's going about 65mpr !!!! so with the air box mod and a k&n. i think it was worth the 60$. it will pay for itself in a few more tanks. i feel more power to.
it takes like 15min to do this
