Antman....help!

So, I'm getting ready to do the Antman Air Compressor Install behind the Air Box. I move the MAF Ground & pop the white/black connector loose.
Now there is another connector mounted to a steel bracket which looks like it will interfere with the compressor base. I have pointed a yellow arrow at it in the attached pic.
Do you remember running into that during your install? My 4Runner is a 2012 Trail....could that be the problem?

Unbolt the bracket and move it to the firewall

You are lucky'er than those of us with 13+, we have a AIP pump in that location that really makes this location useless now...

I see what you are saying, but there is no way to do that without drilling into the firewall. I'm trying to accomplish this mod without drilling any holes.

My 1st thought was to remove the wiring from bracket and just ty-wrap to something. Maybe wrap the connector in some kind of neoprene foam to prevent chafing and vibration.

What about flipping the bracket 180 degrees and bending the tab backwards and bolt it back In the same spot.

Since Toyota hard mounted it a would do the same and no just leave it in free air to chaff . what is that harness for?

Just pinch the back of the white plastic holding the wire to the bracket and pull the black plug so that it detaches. Take the bracket off and see if there is a hole in the engine bay the plug clip will fit into. If not, just strap tie it out of the way!

Hmmmmm....that might work. I donno what the harness is for.

Antman,
I got that one (black/white connector) loose allright. I figured you did not have the other connector to deal with. I poured over your pics and could'nt see any evidence of it. I think I will try the 180 degree flip, a little custom bending, a litttle bracket trimming. I'm like you...there will be a way to make it work.
