So I soldered the 150ohm resistor inline with a "white wire extension" and then cap crimped those three white wires together...but what am I going to be connecting the white wires to exactly? It keeps saying port 6,7,8...but ports on what connector? Is there some steering wheel module that I'll see after I take apart the dash? It can't be the radio connector because I have a wiring harness right in front of me and it doesn't have ports 6,7,8...it only goes to 6 and 2,3,4,5 are mising. WTF AM I WIRING TO?

You are going to connect those 3 wires from the PAC to the Toyota steering wheel connector (wires 6, 7, and 8 on the connector), which is in the dashboard. The Toyota plug is currently connected to your existing stereo.

It will be apparent once you open the dash and remove the old stereo.

Okay thank you. And is there any reason to crimp on the black/red extensions instead of just soldering them in my apartment? Seems like the less loose connections I have, the better.

I'd be working on this project right now if stupid Fedex had delivered like they were supposed to. HATE fedex.

Crimp or solder, whatever you prefer, to add some length to the PAC wires that you're going to connect to the Toyota. I've used butt connectors (insulated, crimp style) for stereo installations for years, and I'm happy with them.
