Another Bilstein 5100 question

Thank you! And I happen to agree on the years...Love the boxy look. Definitely post back with your experience and results.

I'll definitely post pictures, then as time goes on I'll report what I experienced. By the way, what step rails are you running?

I’m running NFabs. Antman did a great write up on cutting down the side skirts on the 2010-13s to get these to fit. I added some trim to clean the look of the cut up. Otherwise you’ll have to pull the side skirts and spent like $400 for finishing caps from Toyota. It’s insane. Great steps though...and I’ve never got them caught up on anything while on the trail.

I went ahead and did the 1.75/1 lift. This is going to be my daily driver and I plan on not going mountain climbing in my 2WD lol. Also this is our family vehicle. I really like the feel of it. Ride feels the same even on highway. The nose dive is gone and don't drive like a boat anymore! I haven't gotten it aligned yet but will soon. I plan on getting wheels and tires first. My current tires are creeping on its end of life so I will wait after wheels to get aligned.

Does anyone know a shop that has the Bilstein 5100’s in stock? I can find the rears but every place that I’ve checked shows the fronts on backorder. I’ve heard both November and December dates to get them back in stock.

Added the Bilstein 5100s on my 2021 TRD ORP front/rear and set the front to .85” lift and the rear is stock. Love the way it sits now and the ride is much better than stock. The top pic is stock and the bottom is with the Bilsteins installed.

Exactly the look/ride improvement I'm looking for on my 2017. Does yours have KDSS, and did you do the install yourself?

Did you keep the stock springs?

What part numbers or kit did you get for the 2021? Can you share a link?

I'm in the same boat. I purchased a 2021 4Runner Venture edition back in November and have been searching for Bilstein 5100's every since. The rears have been readily available for the most part, but the fronts are nowhere to be found. I was originally told December, then told January/early February and now I'm hearing March/April. This seems crazy to me! Anyone out there had any luck finding SKU: FJ4RBILK10??? If so, can you please let me know where?

Thanks in advance!

This Bilstein shortage happened to me a couple years ago when I was wanting shocks for my other car, a 2018 GTI. Couldn't get front or rears for almost a year. It turns out that because Bilstein has so many OEM contracts, they don't prioritize aftermarket applications and only run them in batches when they have the manufacturing capacity.

Bilstein 5100s...still short

Checked with a couple of local shops here in DFW and found that Front 5100s can be had within 3-days but no word on rears. It could be 3-weeks or 3-months.
So I am thinking of getting hold of Fronts, get it installed with .85 setting and keep the rear stock. Stock shock, stock coil, just until I get hold of rear 5100s and then make the change for rears.

I know couple of folks did 5100s all around set at .85 to level it out. But can this be done with Front 5100s at .85 and rear completely stock?
