Took my 2006 Sport in for service today with 153K on the odometer. Having brakes done (first time), battery replaced (original battery), propellor shaft greased, etc..
Got a call from the service department, that my CV boots were "torn open". I was advised that this could cause ball and socket joints to fail from lack of grease unless it was torn apart, grease re-packed and new boots installed to the tune of $600. I told them to hold off until I had time to look at them myself and do a little research. Are you guys saying there is a cheaper, easier way ? By the way, I have seen no grease or oil on my garage floor.
