It's about time someone made a general chit chat thread on here. Every other forum I've seen has one.
 
Doc, you bring up some good points. For the most part I have let it go. At the same time I care about this forum. It's a great resource for myself and a lot of others. Thai is not a completely useless member but I did say that he is more or less useless. I meant that most of his posts are trash talk and useless making him more or less a useless member. Okay, he has some great information about a cell phone... big whoop. I'm sure he's a bit hit on a cell phone forum.

It does get to me a little when he continues to make his nonsense jabs. I have been very fair with him and any other member I have had to deal with. So when someone continues to take your kindness as a weakness and try to make you the bad guy, yeah... it does irritate me. As of now he's banned until Sunday morning unless the Admin lifts his ban. I would hope that the other moderators and the admin would have my back here as we should be able to stick together as long as we're on the same page and abiding by the rules. As long as Thai continues along his path I will continue to ban him and for a longer period next time.

Look guys, I'm not trying to be the bad guy here. As a moderator I enforce the rules equally, nothing more. I think there is definitely some slack that was given to certain members but I do not treat anyone with special treatment.
 
I don't know Thai at all.

But, I wouldn't consider one of the Founding members of this board useless.
 
Wasn't thai the one who created T4r.org? This is ironic as fuk lol the creater gets banned by some mod who joined 6 years after, on the site that he made lol priceless

I dunno, just in recent memory I found Thai's posts useful in my Volt thread, someones Prius thread, as well as the iPhone thread...

I obviously dont have any info about who complained or why, but it seemed to me that it was two people debating a subject more than it was one member attacking another. From my perspective it seems excessive to ban the guy over something like that, but as I've said I would like to see the same type of free speech here on the internet as we all enjoy IRL.
 
I've never had any problems with Thai or any Mods on here. We are all t4r owners who like to share knowledge, pics and occasional of topic discussions. This dumb pissing match that is now public is childish. Instead of worrying about hurting somebody's wittle feelings because they cant take it. Let's instead put our mods and admin to work figuring out why the f$$k there are so many virus's and ads so that we can fix them.
 
Moderator is a hard job. I've never been on a forum where the moderator feels the need to explain and further roll around with the offender/s. That makes the job much harder and is a clear win for the one being moderated.

I love it how certain Mod would talk trash about me (and sends PMs) when i have no way of responding...that is always nice. Thanks.

But, SV is right...I am useless in my old age...never claimed to be useful much anyways...except for a few here & there stuff on this forum...surely not as significant as most here, including SV's contributions in his just over 4 years here on this forum. I am mostly just a postwhore for the past 10+ years on this forum!

I could go either way, I want to say its fake but it might not be. Children, especially females are kinda expendable over there in certain cultures right?
 
It's not, that was on a legit chinese tv station, stuff like this happen more than you think in china with the overflowing population.
