I met up with forum member jc1kz in Frisco today... and we spotted this lightly modded Limited in the parking lot (In-n-Out burger on Preston). Anyone here?

I know member nissanh was trying to arrange a meet and greet, but I never saw a thread. Here's one now.... ha

Who's in DFW and up for a 4Runner meetup? I figure it might be nice to get some sort of local community together here for camaraderie, parts swapping, wrenching help and maybe an off roading trip somewhere.

I'd be up for meeting for any of that (and I need some wrenching help soon!)

I met nissanh while he was in town, and he will likely be coming back every now and then
 
I was thinking maybe Bridgeport? From what I understand, it's a little more stock 4x4 friendly. I haven't been to Gilmer in years (like 10 years + ha), but I remember lots of East Texas mud.
 
Hey, I would like to know when you guys meet up around the Dallas area...I see a bunch of 4runners around here but I have not met any other owners.
 
I'd like to throw my name in the list for the DFW 4Runner meet up. I'm about an hour and a half east of Dallas, but I go to Dallas all the time. As far as the trailing thing mine doesn't have 4wd, but doesn't mean I can't join in on the wrenching right?

Are ya'll planning any future trail rides? I saw the TX Toyota Jamboree is in early May. I'd like to make it to that.
 
I'm in Texarkana, but grew up in Dallas and make frequent trips. Would love a Gilmer trip and i am planning on Hot Springs ORV in the summer.

Where do you find more information about the TX TOYOTA JAMBOREE?

If we can do a trail or something, I don't mind driving 300 miles for that in my 4runner! but for a meet and greet.... I'll try to join but not in my 4runner though...

Can you guys do it like a weekend?

Can we all get together before that? It is in May.... Sure I will join. but that's in 5 months.

Let us know some weekends you guys are free and we'll find the best day for all of us.
 
Is the group appropriate for someone with a stock height 4Runner?

I am not a novice off roader, but my 4Runner is not equipped for more than 3-4 rated trails.

Yeah we can definatly get together. Febuary the weather can be a little iffy, but march is wide open for me.

Most everyone has a lift of some kind, not sure if any one wheeling is sitting stock. I actually have a set of OME coils I are looking to sell. Ill even give you a hand with the install. Ill PM you the link.
 
How about a day for camping in woods? Little bit of off roading to get there may be? I have 2 inch lift in rear and 1 inch front I think. Don't know others. Can you guys spend like 4-5 hours on a weekend? I will bring my family. So it is definitely during day time.
 
I'm a little bit farther south down in Austin. I would love to meet up with some people. Lot's of runners down here, they just happen to be bone stock :dammit:

You got 3 hour drive to Dallas. I got 4 hours. Hard thing is finding a day and time.

Most 4runners around TX, LA, AR are 4x2, and therefore,.... stock
