Attn: Dallas-area 4Runners

I am up for anything - we should plan a casual meet and greet one evening or weekend afternoon. Maybe pick a bar or restaurant in Plano or North Dallas just since that would be fairly central for a lot of us? Seems like the majority of us are in Dallas or Collin county.

How about Jack Mac's Swill & Grill?

Jack Mac's Swill & Grill

It's right off George Bush and Preston in Far (FAR!) North Dallas, so easy to get to. They also have a big parking lot. We could grab a bite and a drink if anyone is interested (I am always interested in a TX beer)

How about something this coming Saturday (1/5/14) in the afternoon?

Does that work for everyone?

Technically Sat is the 4th.... sorry

If you guys are interested we're doing some wheeling at Hidden Falls adventure park. Have quite a few guys coming from Dallas as well. It's a bit of a drive for you guys so I understand if it's too far.

Dallas to Hidden Falls = 205 miles.
Nice thing is the park can handle stock to heavy modified with lots of trails to hit. Look at Wheeltoberfest videos and you should see some good ideas.

So are y'all meeting at the park? if we're still meeting in dallas somewhere like that bar&grill on the north side of dallas I'm game for that!

You guys planning a meet and greet while I am in Death Valley?

The pictures are from Sand dunes - Steel pass - Warm/hot springs

That does sound fun but it is a little too far for me for this weekend. Don't have time.

Yeah, let's make sure we get a bigger crowd first.

Nice!

New idea... anyone interested in going to Bridgeport OHV park on Saturday? Short notice, I realize. But looks like it is supposed to warm up into the 60s - and we haven't had rain in a while, so it should be dry.

My 4Runner is essentially stock, so I would only do some of the easier trails.

I'd be interested, but I need to fix my 4Runner before I go anywhere... besides, I don't have an OHV sticker nor a CB radio yet...

I finally found my closest group! Not sure, if I can still join on? I am new here to this forum and still learning the search function!

Hello everyone! Thanks for having me snoop around your build thread and get my ball rolling!

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for this group. I live in Plano and just bought my 4Runner a month ago. This weekend I'm planning on replacing my stock radio and installing a CB/antenna/mount/etc. If any of you would be interested in helping (or just hanging) out, I would enjoy the company.

Welcome! I'm swamped this weekend, but I would encourage you to come out next weekend to Bridgeport. We could even organize a caravan from North Dallas or Plano.

That sounds like a fun trip, but I've gotta go to Houston next weekend to celebrate my niece and brother's birthday. I'm registered for the Jamboree in Gilmer, though, so I'll at least be able to get together with the group then.
