Well as luck would have it, I recieved an email from Coastaletech last night informing me that the product may be defective:

Thank you for your recent purchase of our Lockpick 2 for your car. It has come to our attention that certain models of navigation systems react differently to our unit. This causes no harm to your car or navigation system, it simply will try to reblock the video screen intermittently and return to the MAP view. There is a plethora of combinations of equipment on any car depending upon region, date, time and place of purchase and manufacture, that accommodating all of these potential variables is a monumental task and is why we appreciate our customer's role in providing feedback. If your unit is experiencing this, please either return your unit for a full refund or you can keep the unit and utilize its other benefits until we have had time to investigate and make upgrades to it. If you have not yet taken delivery of your unit, please refuse shipment, it will be returned to us and a full refund will be given. Or, you can install the unit and see if your unit is one of the units we are referencing. We believe the units in question are model years 2004 and 2006. However, not all of these cars from these model years have this navigation system. "
Mine worked fine until this morning. While watching a DVD, it kept going back to the map screen.
Although, I did put the nav in override mode and the problem went away. Note sure if that helped, or it was just a coincidence. Either way, you guys might want to hold off until they fix the problem.
