Except for three wires, everything plugs in. Many here have installed the unit themselves.
The long thread on the OEM unit includes photos of all the connections.
I am biased since I am a Public Safety tech but I would never let some kid from Best Buy tear up my truck!

Crutchfield carries Scosche so I would guess that they could supply them.
