B&M 70268 or 70264 w/ 80212 ATF gauge, Koyo Radiator and procomp fan
I've got a '99 4 runner that I purchased a couple of months ago with 119,000 miles. The car is a bit of a daily driver but is being worked up to be an off-road vehicle and possibly used for some towing as well. I'm going to bypass my stock ATF cooler with a B&M one, but I want to monitor my ATF temp. I want a gauge that is reliable and bullet proof. Is the 80212 gauge what people are using? Also are the benefits of getting a Koyo radiator noticeable over the OEM? I'd still bypass the ATF cooler even after replacing with a Koyo to avoid the most expensive, worst tasting milkshake I've ever had. Also, is adding a procomp electric fan with either the temp probe or manual switch a good idea? I don't mind spending a couple of bucks for a pound of cure to protect my investment, and ensure I'm not stuck in the backwoods. I live on the wet side of WA but would be taking it to the mountains, and to E. WA where it can get to 100 in the dessert like climate.
