Have we even seen pictures of it yet? Why would you plan on getting something when you haven't even seen it?
Were you able to resolve the alignment issue(s)? It took all my willpower to hold back from buying the bumper the day it was announced, but after seeing your side alignment picture, I'm honestly a little turned off. I'd love to see an updated picture where you were able to get the gap a little closer and the edges a little straighter. Keep us posted!

Here is pics of the wifes new bumper. The skid is getting a linex coat and I think we will get the pieces below the lights painted to match the body.
And the parts that were removed.
The order was placed 7/25 - arrived 11/5. And well worth the wait.
It took myself and a "friend" (one of the required tools in the very detailed instructions) 4 hours and a 12 pack to install. By far, one of the smoothest installs I have ever done.
Thanks to Shrockworks for making a another great product.

Are they on-line somewhere? I would like to read them. If not, can you scan them and post them or email them to me? thx
It looks like your bumper was messed up on the right side. Did that happen when taking it off or an accident?
Does your truck have a lift / upgraded suspension? It does not appear to.
What do you think the stuff that came off weighs? Trying to figure out how much weight will actually be added net of the pieces that come off.

No sarcasm, the instructions are very detailed. I'm sure the guys at Shrockworks will hook you up.
The damage was from a tacoma backing into my eight day old 4runner. It has looked like that for 7 months. We drug our feet on fixing it but I'm glad we waited. The Shrockworks was a lot cheaper than the repair estimate and it's hard to beat the looks of a winch bumper over stock.
Te runner is not lifted and we still have the crappy Dunlop tires.
As fas as weight. The parts removed prob weight 45 - 50 lbs. I can't tell difference in handling or stance.
I am very impressed so far. It's a very solid product.

Bumper install question
So i decided to go ahead and install my bumper and now I am in a bit of jam. for those of you who have installed yours at step 3B the directions say to use some screw clips and #8 sheet metal screws. It doesn't look like my bumper came w/this hardware. Did anyone else run into this problem? or maybe I'm just an idiot and don't know what a screw clip looks like. It says I should have 16, but I definitely don't have 16 of anything. Any help/advice would be appreciated. I called/emailed shrockworks, but because its a weekend they are closed...

So shrockworks sent me less than half of the hardware required for installation...the clips were just the beginning. I ended up having to go to 5 stores here in cheyenne to get all the stuff...real pain in the ass. Going to give shrockworks a call on monday...no reason I should have to spend more money and two hours to get the hardware. But at least the install is done and it looks great. Ill post some pics tomorrow.

Thanks so much for posting this. I waited for my trim pieces to come back from painting before installing the bumper. You're definitely right, it can't be done.
I didn't receive any hardware, not one piece, so I called and made sure they expedited delivery to receive them the day before I installed the bumper.
As for the instructions and installation, I wouldn't say it is very detailed but you can figure it out and you definitely need a friend if you don't have a hoist. Took us about 5 hours to install. The hardest parts were installing and aligning the headlight pieces, and getting the bumper lined up to the mounting bracket holes then positioning it correctly height wise underneath the headlight pieces and grill.

I paid $50 for both and it was ready the next day. Not a perfect match but I'd rather have them body color.

Its solid. Same quality as the whole bumper. Everything about this bumper was well thought out. When I started unpacking everything with my buddies to do the install, we were pretty surprised by the quality and craftsmanship of everything.
