Installed a set of FJ springs over the Thanksgiving break. Kept the 5100s at the .85" setting and now I am sitting a little high in the front. Probably due to my truck being a V6 and 2wd. Will live with it for a week or so and see if it grows on me - otherwise I will lower the shock setting or throw a small spacer on the back.
Unfortunately my dad had the truck up in the air before I could take some measurements, but it did gain some good lift - and is much firmer going around corners which I really like!
It turned out good, I wish the front was just a hair higher but I really think 1.75" would have been too much if I ever had any gear in the trunk or people in the rear seats.
The truck rides so much better too. Very happy.
Currently running 265/65 Revos, I'm going to step up to 265/70s when they wear out.
If you ever consider the fj springs, Herr they are at 1.75" setting with 5100's and a 1" cornfrd spacer. Rides great.
Are you guys running 5100's in the rear as well or just the front? Trying to figure out what i need to do for my ride
Darwalk, Did you do your lift? any chance you could tell me the change in height from before and after? my '16 sr5 measures 20" right now from center of the front wheel to top of the wheel well (bottom of fender), I am planning to put adjustable height 5100s on the front and 1.5" spacers with 5100s on the back. Trying to decide between the .85 and 1.75 settings for the fronts...I kinda like a bit of rake and I don't want the whole rig getting much more than 3" taller.

not sure if you know this but since you have the xreas, you cant use the 5100's unless you are using them to replace the xreas system. that includes front & rear. this thread may give you the info needed, http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/102272-4th-gen-suspension-options-faq.html

My friend recommended me to get the Bilstein 5100s, he said I can raise it even with the stock springs? I wanted to see if you would be able to give me some insight on how that works?
It's been a week. Have you installed them?
I just ordered a set. I'll be installing this weekend if I have a chance. If you want I can take a ton of picks and show you step by step.
Also, you can check out demos of the shock from bilstein themselves. They show you how you install the shock and how you get the lift with the stock shocks.

Guys, I love the look after using the daystar 2.5/1.5 spacers but I need new shocks so I'm going with the Bilstein 5100's all around. Which setting should I use on Bilstein when going for the daystar look? Do I need a spacer in back?
