Bilstein 5100's & Cornfed spacers arrived

With bilstein 5100s set at 1.75 front and replace rear shocks along with 1 inch spacers rear will it sit leveled or is there a slight rake?

i think the pic above says it all, no?

Thats what i wasnt to sure about either one has more rake than the other. The red one looks perfectly leveled and the gray has a rake. The reason i ask is im going with the same set up and i like how the red looks with the set up, then i see the gray same set up and it has a rake.

Hi all -

I have the set of 5100s with 1" Cornfed rears and was planning to do the 1.75" setting. Now I'm contemplating adding a SSS Slimline front bumper and winch. I'm wondering if this is going to drop my front end too much. Anybody done this? Should I bump up the front setting to 2.5" to account for the bumper weight?

I will only say that spacers are a waste of money.

You will eventually get a lift, I guarantee it.

Mine was running a Toytec front spacer kit with the stock suspension before I installed their Ultimate kit about a year later.

I am have the same set up as you, in my garage, ready to install. I was scared into delaying the install by another member claiming I couldnt get alignment into spec without aftermarket UCAs. What issues did you experience? Is it drivible until i can save up for UCAS? I have p285/70r17 Cooper A/T3s. Thanks.

^^^This. I love my current stance, but would like to UN-preload a bit of the ride. Problem is, I want to stick with stock size tires. Haven't really done a ton of research yet, but at some point, will try to find new springs that yield the same lift as my current ride-height, and allows me to keep/use my current Bilsteins. No rush, just at some point...

2.5/1.5 5100s and it rides better than stock. I haven't had limiting issues aside from the UCA. If I flex enough I can hit the coils.

blue15 - Good choice - That is the same set up I have, and the ride is so much better than stock. Couldn't tell from your photo the size of the rear cornfed's though?

I have 1" rear cornfed spacers and the front 5100's 1.75". I also have spidertrax spacers. jbstrd - too bad you weren't in Colo, would have enjoyed learning how to DIY as I am looking at small top plate spacers for the front rather than setting them at 2.5" - fun to ponder different configurations, and actually doing that at home would be even better.

No intent to hijack, but since some are asking what this configuration looks like. this is a little uphill and have about 1" rake when on level ground -

thanks - yes toyo at2's - 265/70/17. had some rubbing, but moved the fender liners in and relocated a couple of the fender pins, and took a dremel/sanding bit and took 1/2" or so off the below fender edge on each side - would never know and the edge sanded super quick. I had the spacers put on at the same time so not sure what or how much effect the spacers had, if any.

Had to do the same thing with my (soon to be sold to my son) 2003 4runner on the fender liners. Same size tires, but OME front shocks/coils, rear shocks and toytec rear coil spring - definitely rides stiffer than the 5100's, and I so miss that V8 though...For my driving, no regrets with the 5100's and cornfed set up and so much better than stock - enjoy that set up, especially for the price.

Yes, both front and rear have Bilstein's, spacers in the rear. The fronts set at 1.75", but I did add a wheelers 3/8" top spacer later in front and now have about 2.75" total lift from stock in the front.
