I have an inline temperature activated switch in the cooler return line that is set to turn on at 185 and shut down at 175. This temp switch runs to the kill switch in the cab and then to a relay located by the air box so that when the switch turns on the relay turns the fan on. I also tapped into the power line to the fan so that when the fan is active the ring around the kill switch turns on letting me know its on, I just did this because I dont trust automatic systems and like to know if they are working like they should. How did you wire the trans cooler fan with those set temperatures? Sounds like a good idea for slow wheelng
Ill see about drawing up a wiring diagram to add to that post, would be good for future reference...
I was actually really surprised that in 4 low the trans temp parked itself at 140 in the pan no matter what I did. I have had the fan come on a total of 5 times since I installed it and they were all when I was driving about 30mph on some hilly roads in second gear.
