Thought I post up my version of the blinker/ marker light mod. I used a coping saw to cut the stock socket out of the blinker housing. Then drilled out the marker light socket with a 1" bit. Next I JB quick welded the blinker socket to the marker light housing. It took a lot to fill the gaps, and a 2nd coat for good measure. After they dried, I drilled a 5/8" hole and used a file to make the slots for the tabs on the marker light bulb socket. It took a few minutes, but twists in like stock. Shop vac out all of the shavings. Before you install marker light housing, pull the blinker wire up through the hole under the marker light housing spot. Plug everything in and install! This only took me about an hour. Good luck!
