Summer Test Drive

I have done a bunch of Mods on my "LE Mae" in the past 6 months and never have the time to test them. So......
1st Leg: Florida to Asheville, NC then The Blue Ridge Pkwy. Smoky Mountains were living up to their name. Pictures don't do them justice. This Florida truck has never been up very steep grades as far as I can tell. The computer is getting its shift points better as the day goes on. Torque Converter temps getting up to 230-235 degrees going up steeper grades. Carrying a lot of extra weight which is putting the Runner through it's paces. Truck is running Great tho!!

Rausch Creek Off Road Park - July 4th weekend.
Very impressed with the park and took all 3 days of the offroad-consulting.com classes. Kyle Buchter is good teach and he puts together a nice trail ride. Each driver is put through a series of challenges graduating in degrees of difficulty a little at a time. [MENTION=120701]Cymon[/MENTION] has a detailed write up on his thread. These are pics I purchased from a freelance photog working that weekend. I was solo so I didn't get a lot of pics.

Installed my Shrockworks Rock Sliders yesterday

Shrockworks kicked ass getting my Slider order out from the T4R.org Spring 16' Group Buy. Ten days early on their 3 month schedule!
Install is pretty straight forward. Love me some stick nuts!!!

Nice a local. Where are the phosphate mines on the first page? Lift soon for mine and will be hitting my old trails I used to frequent, citrus and Ocala/hard rock but never seen that location! Hook me up and we will ha e to hit some trails up on e day soon!

Hey vandert! Hows things?! The first page was a trip put together by some Jeep guys and a bad ass 2nd Gen (it's the truck I'm following on the you tube link, post #46) who runs with them. I really can't give that spot up without checking with those guys first. It's private property and that area has a tight bunch that runs together. I want to run with them again one day, so I don't want to piss em off lol. I do have a couple spots in North and Central Brevard that you probably already know about. There are a few spots in and around Ocala as well. But anyway sorry about being secret, a lot of good spots are getting shut down all the time so we need to protect them. We should definitely get out there somewhere! I'm always out by myself during the week when I'm home because of my stupid work schedule. Do you know about the fb page "Florida 4runners"?

I didn't but will jump on it now! I am well aware of secret spots The bad thing is Most of my good spots have already been closed, the compound is back open now but haven't been out since they stopped patrolling it, and that helo just crashed so it's h set watch again for a while. I'm sure your northern spot is 5a or canaveral groves My wife has a Jeep and I had a TJ back in 2011-12 but lifted it and modded it out of daily driver status and hated driving it so sold it at that point. My current ride isnt ready for trails but I have new shocks/struts/ springs ready to go on and spacers for now. Won't go trail riding till I have those in and 285's at least. Hope it won't be too long but finishing up a half sleeve so funds are going to that, I'm at the color phase now so a session on Saturday and probably one more after that then will save and sell stuff for tire money.

I did the crazy work schedule for a few years around here and only recently switched back to M-f job and now I inspect the range, and launch facilities, well actually I hack them and report the exploits

Can't wait to catch up with you and get some trails in, I have hit some of my old ones up but sadly a lot of them are closed. There used to be some absolutely awesome ones on Stuart/vero area and in due to go down there soon and will let you know if they are still open as well

Never used to go down to the Compound in my old muddin days because the Groves were so close. I've heard about murders and bodies being found out there at the compound. Not sure if there is any validity to the stories though.
The dummies at the Groves are going through there with their ATVs crossing over SR 528 with them to get over to the Possum Bluff parties on the St. Johns, so it's just a matter of time before that gets closed off. 5a is closed now, fenced off with trespass signs. I'm sure trash and stupidity made that happen. A lot of these knuckle heads think the earth is a dump, or someone else will clean it up. *******S!! Didn't realize they were doing that at canaveral, as for lift and wheeling I expect to have a lift within a few weeks since I got the full Tacoma setup for 70 bucks off craigslist hell just throwing that in is 1-1.5" for me with stock sagging springs but want a full 3" and 285's. Starting to watch for spacers for rims as can't afford rims and tires right now found some used duratracks for 159 in 285/70/17's but in deland.... Look like no cupping and probably 15k left on them would be enough to get me started lol. Like I said though color for the half sleeve first which is proving very hard haha thankfully I have stuff from previous builds I'm throwing on this one CB will be fully installed this weekend for trail runs I was a semi regular at hard rock from 2011-2012 in my Jeep, but haven't been since 2012 so trails have changed a bit I mentioned my wife's jeep as I'm still somewhat part of jeep clubs and will jump on with them when Runner is ready once I have sliders and recovery gear want to make the drive up to red river or river rocks whatever that place is up near Atlanta.

[MENTION=98153]MStudt[/MENTION]. Your assembly works great bro! The hardware failed with the abuse I put them through lol. ASB and high speed whoop runs aren't recommended. Hence the reason a lot of folks delete them I guess. Truck drove straight on the way home, so I don't think I bent a spindle, but Lesson learned.
