Bushwacker made fenders for the 5th gen!!

Have you installed both the flares and the sliders yet? Any pics you can share?

I'm currently running the Shrockworks sliders ("dimpled tread plate" version) and wanted to get clarification on whether they will interfere with the Bushwackers. I've seen one board member say it required trimming on his Bushwackers while another said they fit without issue or modification...

Here's the pic of where my shrockworks sliders meet my bushwhacker flares. No trim needed. image.jpg

If you look at the sliders in the 2 previous posts one slider has a squared off end on the 2" tube, and the other has an angled end. It could be a variation in the sliders that is causing the need for trimming. Mine is squared off but my round tube also seems to extend a little further forward. Cozen89's sliders also appear to be slightly lower in relation to the rocker than mine. So there may not be a simply yes/no answer to this question.

Odd how the same sliders sit higher and lower. Maybe they made some changes? Guess I lucked out. My sliders don't hit my flares, and my tires don't rub after 1" wheel spacers.

for y'all who like to wack'it:

autoanything is holding a $50 (equates to 10%) mail in rebate on the Bushwacker flares 7/1 thru 8/31. Rebate is returned via prepaid Visa card. free shipping.

What are you guys who installed these flares running in terms of wheel/tire/offset?

These are slightly wider than the stock flares right, so I imagine the tires look recessed after installing these?

Currently I am running a 3" Toytec Boss lift, 17x8.5 0 offset wheels, 285/70/17 bfg KO2's.

I had to trim the fender lining and remove the mudflaps in the front. If I add 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers to this set up, do you think I'll encounter major rubbing problems? I'm trying to avoid doing a body mount chop, but I really like the look of these flares and the wider stance.

The answer is pretty much in my signature. Icon front suspension with UCAs. Set to 2.5 but the bumper weight has it lower now. As far as offset, I'm running the SCS stealth 6, so -10 mm offset. Goodyear mtr kevlars 285-70-17. I did body mount chop. I still rub, but deeper in the well and it is just in reverse under full right turn. It is just a piece of plastic that the nubs of the tires rub.

Reading thru this thread I did not see any pics of people that have actually done the Bushwacker + Snorkel. I found a guy on the Florida 4Runner Group, he had some good pictures of his nice setup. I think it looks pretty good, thoughts?

I guess I'll keep this thread going. Just bought a new used 2015 T4R Trail see below, silver. I'm thinking about some easy mods and I like the idea of the BW black fender flares to supplement my black AVS bug protector. Like my black dog I like black accents (as long as they are not overdone.) I'm thinking about running them with stock tires and fenders. Don't want to get into the spacer game right now. Reading this whole thread and the comments on installation left me confused so I downloaded the current installation instructions. More confusion. So I wanted to get some clarification from folks who attached them.

1) the ugly stainless screws that everyone wants to swap out for the black LUNDS are cosmetic right? The flares adhere to body by a combination of adhesive on the face of the body and screws through the bottom of the fender thru the wheel well?

2) Did someone really drill thru the face of the body just above the stock fender and attach them with metal screws or tap the hole and use a machine screw? I think it was a red truck. Is that a better way? or do you FU your fender for life

3) someone in this thread suggested to use some sort of 3M double stick tape between the flare and the fender metal to prevent paint from rubbing off. Any specific info on that.

4) the BW instructions appear to require that the stock front and rear fenders be removed before BW installation. But most on this thread seemed to install the BW right over the stock. Any +- either way?

thanks and be kind its my first toy in a long time. BTW I read the whole thread and some of you guys really do not like each other. all over some stupid fender flares

Thx
