Bushwacker made fenders for the 5th gen!!

Reading thru this thread I did not see any pics of people that have actually done the Bushwacker + Snorkel. I found a guy on the Florida 4Runner Group, he had some good pictures of his nice setup. I think it looks pretty good, thoughts?

Curious on the ones running these flares with sliders

1. What sliders are you running?

2. Were they a direct fit or did it require cutting/modding the flares?

I had to make a small cut on both front flares to clear the tubing of my Shrockworks step sliders, but others were able to mount theirs over the same without cutting. :noidea:

After 1 year, I've got an issue with the driver side rear door at the bottom. There's a gap that wasn't there before.

Has anyone taken the rear door ones off, added new tape (and trim) and re-applied them?

No. But I did buy a set of GM take offs from Ebay about 13 years ago for my Silverado. Took me a couple hours with a razor blade and some Goo Gone to remove the old tape, then a trip to the chevy dealer for some free tape from their body shop (they usually have some laying around from repairs). I'm thinking about adding some to the upper rear curves of both my rear flares because when I trimmed them for the CBI bumper I ended up with a slight gap on both sides up there.

How did you do yours so clean? I did mine and fail!!! It didn't look smooth at all!!

Installation question

Sorry if it was mentioned earlier but i couldnt find the answer. Im looking ar getting these somebtime this week and wanted ro jnow if they go over the stock fenders or do the srocks need to be removed first? Also i have the trd rocksluders from toyota, will they interdere? Do mudguards interfere?

mudguards are integrated in to the fender flares. There would be a hole if the mudguards were removed.

The very rearmost stock fender flares are to be removed. I can't remember if it's just the one on the gas cap side, or both rearmost ones.... I'm pretty sure it's mentioned earlier in this thread.

I am not aware of any TRD sliders. There are a couple different models of running boards though.... can you post a pic? I had to notch my front bushwacker flares for my OPOR sliders. It was easy, and I cleaner job than the pic a couple posts up. (sorry 3wbdriver.... I really appreciate your input on them and I used your idea. I had to tease)

So i have the oem trail sliders on my rig. The folks at bushwacker said it should fit without cutting and will require removal of all stock fenders.

Anyone have tgese fenders without spacers?

The gas cap side rear MUST be removed. I got in a hurry and installed the passenger rear without pulling the factory flare first. When I realized it I double checked and couldn't find any problem spots. No harm, no foul. Both my fronts are still on there under the Bushwackers.

Thanks for rhe input. Ill probably pull the rrigger and buy these. I think ill remove both back stock fenders just bc im ocd. Anyone install these with oem trail sliders withiut havijg to cut?

Alao are spacers a kust. I have the trd rimms and the terra grapplers.

No. The flares are only 1/2" wider at each wheel. My sig picture below is with spacers on 8" rims. There will not be an obvious width difference. Just appearance.

For those that did the fender liner mod with some trimming of the bumper cover before. Did you have to trim the very bottom of these as well? or do they not cover all the way down to the end of the bumper cover?

I had already done a fender trim when I mounted mine. If anything I need to trim more fender because there is a little white still showing if I get down low. And these do wrap all the way down.

I picked this one up for my wife and it came as seen, I've never been a huge fan of this style of flares but I must say they are really growing on me, pretty sure they will stay on, I may just paint the bolts black though
